Celebrating 60 years of being inspired by possibility
About us
We support people to make the life choices they want. With health and wellbeing expertise that spans drug and alcohol use, mental health, learning disability, and sexual health, we’re inspired by the positive change we see people achieve every day. For sixty years, people have come to Turning Point to support them to improve their lives. Often they’ve come at a point when their life felt out of control or they didn’t know where else to turn. For some that was a sense they were becoming too reliant on alcohol, for others it was needing to develop the skills and personal resources to navigate challenges with their mental health. Or people with a learning disability, who want support to live an independent and fulfilling life on their own terms. We believe every person is equally important, and has the potential to grow, learn, and make their own choices. As a leading social enterprise, providing community based health and social care services in over 280 locations across England, we aim to empower people to discover new possibilities in their lives and improve their health and wellbeing.

I'm absolutely thrilled that today we launch our Click & Deliver naloxone service across Lincolnshire 😁 This means that anyone within the local authority areas covered by Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership can order a naloxone kit by post, to be delivered discreetly to their home (or address of choice). Anyone that knows me or has seen my other posts on the subject will know how passionate I am about making naloxone as easily accessible as possible to anyone who might need it, and click & deliver is one way to do that. In the other areas where we have already launched this service, a large percentage of orders come from friends and family of people at risk of overdose, people who may not have accessed a kit otherwise and who are now in a position to save a life if needed. With the figures from 2023 showing yet another rise in drug related deaths, and around half of them involving an opiate, the more ways we can find to get naloxone in to the hands of people who need it the better. A massive thank you to Elli-Jay McNally for all your hard work and passion to make this happen. I'm excited to continue this roll out across all Turning Point services in the coming months. Watch this space 💛

We are deeply saddened by latest Office of National Statistics data, published today, showing the continued rise in drug-related deaths. Our Chief Operating Officer, Clare Taylor, says: “These statistics - the highest number since records began - highlight, yet again, the urgent need to seriously address the drug related deaths crisis. All drug related deaths are preventable, and our thoughts are with anyone who has lost someone."
