Great to see the latest project by Mark Kingston Jones and all those involved.
It's been a great morning at Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park running a two-hour team build for today's corporate group. The group were split into seven teams, with each of them making a double bamboo spinner for several species around the park. The feeder is made from two lengths of bamboo, each has a hinged lid where food can be put into. As the bamboo is spun by the animal, food falls out through a hole in the top, and it takes many revolutions of the bamboo to completely empty it of food. Today their feeders were tested with the racoons and coati, with both species having an amazing reaction to their new devices, investigating and testing the feeders out right away. A huge well done to today's team, it was a great way to start the day and you all did a fantastic job. Thank you to UK Bamboo Supplies Ltd for supplying the bamboo for today's build.
