🕵️♀️ What makes a great IPE facilitator? We are looking into the essential skills needed to lead successful interprofessional education workshops and training sessions. At CAIPE, Melissa Owens, Board Member and Co-lead of the Faculty Development Priority Group, is leading a project to identify the key skillset educators seek to develop in IPE facilitators, from university staff to practice educators and experienced experts like patients, clients, or carers. We look forward to reading your thoughts and insights. Do feel free to share any papers or resources that have shaped your understanding of effective IPE facilitation. We'll be sharing our findings too! #CAIPEConnect #IPE #FacultyDevelopment

Learning together to work together collaboratively for quality health and social care
About us
CAIPE was established in 1987 as a membership organisation and UK- based charity, to promote health and wellbeing and to improve the health and social care of the public by advancing interprofessional education (IPE). CAIPE definition of IPE being: “Interprofessional Education is occasions when two or more professions learning together with the object of cultivating collaborative practice to improve the quality of care”. It “enables the participant professions to learn and about one another”. (CAIPE Bulletin 13 Summer 1997). Revised in 2002: "Interprofessional education: Occasions when two or more professions learn with, from, about each other to improve collaboration and the quality of care. (Barr 2002) We are a community committed to collaborative working across health and social care and related services. CAIPE aims to promote and develop interprofessional education, research, learning and practice globally. We support; students, academics, practitioners, researchers and people who use services by sharing information and enabling networking opportunities. We recognise interprofessional education as occasions when members or students of two or more professions learn with, from and about each other to improve collaboration and the quality of care and services.

A new podcast project is on the horizon. Today, I'm finishing the edit on intros/outros. Early next week, I will add the music and graphics. The pod should launch at the beginning of August. I've found Riverside.fm to be as great a resource as Barbara Maxwell, is a co-host. This software has cut hours off of my prep time.
