I loved discussing AI & creativity last week at the UK Creative Festival with the most fantastic panellists. What is clear from our conversation is there is an exciting opportunity for creativity to shape the most impactful, thoughtful and ethical future with AI. UK Creative Festival thanks for having us yesterday at Dreamland in Margate. We had a great time promoting and sharing the work of the arts therapies within Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust talking to lots of amazing creative young people about the profession - we had a really positive response, people being inspired by the arts being an important part of healthcare and a potential future career to pursue. We invited students to create images based on their current emotional state which they displayed and responded so openly to😊 Such a great atmosphere and a brilliant programme of talks, performances and events. Highly recommended! It was inspiring to meet so many people from different creative industries including the skilled makers of the Madame Tussaud’s models! Last week I was lucky to attend the UK Creative Festival in Margate⛱️. I had a great time attending the 2 days of the festival and attending a range of insightful talks and meeting some incredible people within the industry. A huge thank you to all of the team at the UK Creative Festival for putting on an incredible few days of talks and events and a huge thank you to all the speakers for such informative and empowering talks. 🌞☀️ The sun was out in full force, shining over the beach and Dreamland for the UK Creative Festival & Creative Circle Awards in Margate last week! 🌊🎡 Managed to catch a couple of inspiring talks, did some speed networking with young creative talent, and ended up dancing to some awesome tunes. 🕺💃 It was so good to hang out with old friends, make new ones, and chat with so many incredibly talented young creatives who weren’t afraid to show up and share their passions. 💬✨ Events like this are crucial for us to connect with people from all walks of life and all career levels. Yes, it’s about celebrating the fantastic work happening now, but it’s also about the people who will be driving the next generation of creativity. We need to embrace and support them, as they’ll ultimately help us see things differently. 🌟👥 What truly stood out to me was the incredible sense of community and support. Being surrounded by people who genuinely wanted to uplift and build each other up was so empowering. It reminded me that when we help and encourage each other, we create an environment where everyone can thrive. By fostering a culture of support and collaboration, we're not just building individual careers – we're building a vibrant, inclusive community without limits. It's about believing in the potential of those around us and working together to turn that potential into reality. 🌍🚀 To all the amazing people who made my Margate 2024 so special, thank you for your passion, energy, and kindness. Here at Elevate, we believe that talent is distributed evenly but opportunities are not so last week, Peter Kerwood and Evie Manuel launched Elevate NewGen, our initiative that aims to create a more inclusive and diverse events industry. Where better to launch this groundbreaking new programme than Dina Green and Jeremy Green's inspiring UK UK Creative Festival and Careers Fair? Tailored specifically for young people facing barriers in entering the industry, NewGen will provide career pathways for talent aged 18-25. Last week I had the pleasure of attending the UK Creative Festival and Creative Circle Awards for the first time. I was instantly amazed at the amount of young creatives in attendance, and the access to knowledge they had through the amazing line up of speakers across the two days. A special thank you to Jeremy Green and the UK Creative Festival team for the warm invite, and the amazing work being done to make the UK creative industry better. Congratulations to all of the winners at the awards ceremony and it was great to see so much incredible work and ideas being shared.
