Born stateless, Valentin’s life has been a constant struggle without legal identity. He was not registered at birth, leaving him without a birth certificate and no legal documents to prove his nationality. As a result, he faced many barriers, like going to school, working or pursuing his dream of becoming a chef. However, after a 12-year legal battle, Valentin finally gained his nationality, bringing him closer to his dreams and opening doors to opportunities most take for granted. #IBelong

Every day, millions of stateless people face restrictions that many of us can hardly imagine. It’s more than an inconvenience – it's a violation of basic human rights. Everyone has the right to a nationality. Everyone has the right to say #IBelong. #UNHCR #Statelessness

🚨 The spread of mpox in Africa poses a serious threat to refugees and forcibly displaced people, especially in conflict-impacted areas. In DR Congo, where 7.3 million people are displaced, limited resources and health services are worsening the crisis. International solidarity is urgently needed. Here are the facts you need to know. #mpox #UNHCR
