Our team recently had the opportunity to visit the Ulster Aviation Society in Lisburn, thanks to an invitation from Philip Erwin and the introduction from our own Alan Blair. As part of giving back to the community, #BriggsEquipment provided a #Yale GLP70VX forklift, fork-mounted hook, chains, and a spreader beam to assist in lifting and fitting the wings onto their Sea Prince T.1 aircraft. We will continue supporting the Society by providing equipment as needed until the Sea Prince T.1 is fully completed. During our visit, Philip introduced us to other volunteers and gave us an in-depth tour of their impressive aircraft and vehicle displays, along with their library packed with books covering aviation and wartime history. Our team even had a chance to capture some photos with the amazing displays! We highly recommend visiting the #UlsterAviationSociety to learn more about #aviationhistory, the #aircraft, and the incredible people who flew them. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated to help them continue preserving these historic aircraft. 🔗 Learn more about the Sea Prince T.1: https://lnkd.in/enAq_JHS 🔗 Plan your visit to the Ulster Aviation Society: https://lnkd.in/eqn8cUEN

7000+ Visitors to our hangars over a fabulously successful EHOD Weekend. We’re over the moon. 😊 Thank you to every one of you who visited, to our fantastic Volunteers who gave up so much of their time over the weekend to create the event for you all, the many Air Cadets who joined our Volunteers to host many of our aircraft, and run three car parks for the first time. Thank you as well to Maze Long Kesh DC and Northern Ireland Executive Office for letting us host it, LoveHeritageNI for their brilliant EHOD support and help, Rock Choir Northern Ireland, Wartime Living Heritage Association re-enactors, plus everyone else who added to and helped us create this tremendous success that ends our Events’ season for 2024 on such a high note.

We are open for European Heritage Open Days! This Saturday and Sunday (Sept 14th and 15th), from 10am - 5pm, the Ulster Aviation Society hangars are open to the public. Weather permitting, we'll have the hangar doors open and will be towing some of our amazing aircraft collection outside. Inside, we'll have even more aircraft, aviation exhibitions and, new for 2024, our flight simulator and VR suite! There will be catering available on site as well as activities for the kids, live music and military reenactors. This is the highlight of our year and a fantastic day our for young and old. And best of all, its free! See you there 🙂 More info here: https://lnkd.in/egsKvSZH
