Today is World EV Day - a day where businesses, policymakers, and individuals across the world are asked how they will drive change to continue supporting the shift to a decarbonised society. As we celebrate the rapid growth of electric vehicles, it's crucial to look ahead at the challenges and opportunities emerging in the EV ecosystem. One area that demands urgent attention is the EV battery aftermarket. “McKinsey projects that worldwide demand for battery, fuel cell and PHEV cars will grow sixfold from 2021 through to 2030, with annual unit sales rising from 6.5 million to roughly 40 million over that period. We were thrilled to welcome Clare Bottle FCILT 🇺🇦🕊 Bottle, Chief Executive of UK Warehousing Association, to our Warth Park site this week as part of her UK tour. As stop number 62 out of 80, it was a privilege to showcase our newest addition to our warehouse portfolio with Clare. Clare's passion for the warehousing sector is really contagious, and we were really proud to be a stop on her prestigious and much-talked-about tour! Special thanks to Katherine Skidmore, who walked Clare through the innovation roadmap for the site, and to Emma Voss and Alistair Plant, who brought to life the latest addition of a large UK toy retailer who we are currently serving at the site, and David Cartwright, who demonstrated how the Unipart Way is truly lived and breathed in our sites.
