Final few spots left on the prestigious Prof Doctorate in Operational Excellence The Professional Doctorate with Specialisms is a unique part-time professional doctoral degree. It is designed to enhance executive and professional practice through the application of sound theory and rigorous research into real and complex issues in contemporary business and management, within the elected specialism fields of Operational Excellence, Accounting and Finance or Business Administration. Buckingham University has a global standing for this globally renowned and virtually unique qualification. We are launching the next cohort and can accommodate few additional candidates. . It is envisaged that students holding the Professional Doctorate will ultimately lead communities of practice in their specialist profession. Students will initially be registered for the degree of DProf. Their status will be probationary until all taught modules have been passed and the proposed research has been assessed as viable, normally two years from first registration. The degree is designed to be undertaken on a part-time basis over four plus years. The first two years of the programme comprise taught modules that prepare students for doctoral level research in their subject specialism. The taught modules are delivered through a series of nine 2.5 day seminars / workshops. Today was an absolute delight as we held our University of Buckingham School of Business postgraduate social picnic! Students and lecturers brought delicious food from their home countries, creating a vibrant table of flavours and cultures to share. It was a wonderful break from studies and teaching, allowing everyone to unwind, share stories, and enjoy some fun games together. Events like these remind us of the importance of community and the joy of cultural exchange. A huge thank you to all our amazing students and my wonderful colleague Sarah Evans-Howe for coming up with the idea for this great event! Today's session with my MBA students took a sweet turn when one of them brought ice cream for everyone! 🍦 Really loving these sessions teaching the new Corporate Sustainability and Leadership module on our revamped MBA programme.
