Happy New Year! As we enter 2024, I'm excited to share some insights on the trends I expect to see in T&E Data this year. At the ITM Trending Summit last December, I discussed the 5 S’s of data trends: 1. Stakeholders: Personalized, actionable data is increasingly vital for engaging leaders, budget holders, and travellers. By making data more impactful, we can tell compelling stories and drive change. 2. Sources: The growing complexity in the travel industry necessitates data aggregation from a wider array of sources to make informed decisions and improve business performance. 3. Simplification: The art of data curation is crucial. We need to simplify and exclude, being ruthless in analytics to simplify the complex. 4. Sustainability: A significant trend is shifting from mere compliance reporting to using data to drive active decision-making. 5. So What: Our old KPIs may not be fit for purpose against the evolving travel landscape. We must move beyond traditional KPIs to clarify conclusions and actions.   As we navigate these trends, let's remember the importance of engaging stakeholders in our data strategy journey. Let's stay informed, adaptable, and ready to embrace these shifts in an ever-evolving data landscape.
