🎉 Tomorrow marks the last day of teaching! 🎉 Our fantastic range of degree programmes here in SPS are made possible by a dedicated cohort of academic and support services staff, working tirelessly to ensure that SPS delivers a learning experience fit for future world changers! Not only do our academic staff provide high quality, dynamic teaching to students, but they also regularly contribute to extra-curricular activities such as supporting student societies and giving talks and organise relevant experiences for students including study trips, in addition to time spent developing course content. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes of your degree! Our committed support staff not only organise the day to day running of the School, for example, administrating programmes (believe us, that is a HUGE role!), but they’re also there for you when you need them. Whether it’s getting some advice about an extension or finding out who to speak to when times are tough, SPS support staff are always just a click away. 🎉 If you're thinking about completing the NSS and you’ve been happy with the support you’ve received from staff in SPS, this feedback can help us to keep delivering a great student experience! 🎉 University of Glasgow #NSS2025 #YourViewsYourNSS #TeamUofG #UofGSPS #SPS #UniversityofGlasgow #UofG

🌟 The Student Led Activity Fund 🌟 The Student Led Activity Fund supports co-curricular or extracurricular activities organised by SPS students for the benefit of the greater SPS community. It enhances the student experience by providing opportunities for students to create their own learning experiences without financial obstacles. Creating an event through the Student Led Activity Fund is not only a great way to expand your academic experience, but it also allows you to put your organisational skills into practice and to network with stakeholders. Once your allocated funding has been granted, it is left to you to manage your activity. All we ask is that you submit some kind of report once the activity has taken place. The Student Led Activity Fund has supported a variety of events, including games nights, speaker events, movie screenings and more. You can find out about these events through our SPS student blogs by Mari Hauge and Zoe McMahon: https://lnkd.in/eske8ia3 “With the help of the Student Led Activity Fund, we were able to book a space that we would’ve otherwise had to host a fundraiser for beforehand, and with the timing of the event taking place so close to the beginning of the semester, this wouldn’t have been done easily. We are very grateful for the fund giving us this fantastic opportunity to allow us to educate people, not only about history, but also about our society.” -Zoe McMahon, ESH Society President 🌟 You can find out more about the Student Led Activity Fund and how to apply under the 'SPS Community' tile on the Moodle Information Hub. 🌟 🌟 If you're thinking about completing the NSS and you think the Student Led Activity Fund is worth a mention, this feedback can help make sure funds like this continue to exist in future! 🌟

✨ Check out our fantastic new student blog, written by Cultural Ambassador Tuba Kazmi! ✨ In our latest blog, Tuba gives us an insight into her experiences of Ramadan here in Glasgow and what this time has meant to her. "Fasting in a country where life doesn’t slow down for Ramadan has been an adjustment. There’s no shift in schedules and no recognition of the energy dips that come with fasting. I’ve had to juggle my fasts with academic deadlines, social commitments, and work, often navigating the exhaustion and silence on my own. But in a way, this Ramadan has been making me more intentional about my time—it’s teaching me discipline in ways I hadn’t experienced before". ✨Thank you Tuba for sharing with us! ✨ Follow the link to read Tuba's blog: https://lnkd.in/gfZQ3d3u #studentblog #blog #Ramadan #Students #UofGSPS #SPS #teamuofg #uofgsps #universityofglasgow

📌 Advice from our alumni 📌 Over the last few months, SPS hosted a series of alumni panel events. We welcomed back a variety of graduates who shared their career journeys from their time in SPS to their current role. We are delighted to continue strong relationships with our alumni, who are now working for organisations including the Scottish Government, Ofcom, NatWest, Ofgem, the National Grid, the NSPCC and Glasgow City Council. Our alumni events are a fantastic opportunity for professional development. They are a great way to gain valuable insights into different industries, get advice directly from people who have been in your position, and make connections that could lead to the next step in your professional career. If you're thinking about completing the NSS and you think the alumni panels are worth a mention, this feedback can help make sure events like this take place in future!
