#NoDachshundLeftBehind 🐶 This is Poppy. She is a miniature dachshund. She is now almost 6 years old. She loves chasing squirrels, snoozing under blankets and generally being very possessive of her toys. I got her when she was 6 months old. It was a year before she wagged her tail. Now she wags it all the time 🥰 If I could rescue every dog, I would! Instead, I try to do what I can to support charities that do. There is one charity in particular that does incredible work rescuing dogs from the absolute worst situations. 👏 🎗️DMT is a registered charity with the sole purpose of rescuing dachshunds from the meat trade in Asia and this also includes those found in breeding facilities and kill shelters. 💷 Every penny they raise is used for the rescue and rehabilitation of the dachshunds, and the transportation to loving forever homes in the UK. 🌟 The charity is managed completely by volunteers which is incredible. So this weekend I was chatting to a very close friend about how uncomfortable we find it to ask for help. This is particularly interesting because we are both in a profession where supporting others is at the very core of what we do. I have really struggled to ask for help over my 20+ year career, even though I know how valuable it can be. I also know that it has likely effected my leadership performance in the past.
