Every year we ask our users what they think about Upshot. This evidence informs all that we do: from our product development roadmap to the way we train users and communication. We also feel it is important, and a fundamental principle of MEL, to share the results - with full transparency. We are proud to show you an interactive view of our results - enabling you to see the anonymous results from different perspectives including sectors, roles and locations. With a summary and an FAQ to help you get the most of this dashboard, please feel free to explore: bit.ly/4eInwv9 #feedback #survey #transparency

The road ahead is not always obvious, but through collaboration, evidence-gathering and vision, sharing a plan can be an empowering first step. At Upshot, we prioritise the development of our MEL system with the needs of the users we serve. The feedback loop means that any user can make suggestions that will be carefully considered, and our outlook is one of continual and enabling improvements for the greater good of the non-profit sector. We are excited to share our latest public roadmap and explain the processes we have to make this work. We are open as always to collaborating with organisations, who are part of our user community, to share the time, resources and costs needed for product development. Some great starting points here from Sport England for any sports organisation looking, with intention, at becoming more inclusive. The first step, as outlined below, is definitely to understand your stakeholders, staff, volunteers and participants and that usually starts with data...let us know if we can help! #inclusive #diversity #equity #data #sportforall
How can I create an inclusive environment at my sports organisation? Offering a positive experience for all participants and volunteers regardless of ethnicity, religion, age, financial situation or ability benefits both your organisation and the people involved with it. Today, I’m thrilled to share key highlights from the online inaugural session of the workshop series organized by the Sport for Refugees Coalition, titled *Introduction to MEL*. The workshop set the stage for deepening our understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) in the context of supporting #displacedpeople through #sport. This session, led by Preeti Shetty from Upshot Systems CIC, emphasized the need for evidence-based advocacy and the role of #MEL in enhancing organizational impact. Key Takeaways: 1. MEL is not just about reporting to funders; it’s about assessing program effectiveness and using data to drive decision-making. We can continuously enhance our programs by planning, collecting meaningful data, and learning from it. 2. Closing the feedback loop with frontline staff, like coaches, is essential. When they see the real-world impact of the #data they collect, they become empowered advocates for our #MEL efforts. 3. As a coalition, our unified approach to impact measurement can be a powerful advocacy tool. By aligning on key metrics and sharing data, we can make a strong case for increased investment in sports as a transformative tool for displaced communities. A heartfelt thank you to the Sport for Refugees Coalition and Upshot Systems CIC for organizing this invaluable workshop. Your commitment to building capacity and driving collective impact is truly inspiring. This workshop is just the beginning of our journey. I’m excited to explore how robust MEL can further strengthen the programs we’re developing at YALI Sports Africa What are your experiences with MEL? Let’s continue the conversation! #DataDriven #MEL #ImpactMeasurement #ProfessionalDevelopment #SportForRefugees #SportForDevelopment #DisplacedCommunities #CapacityBuilding #EvidenceBased
