These panels will be responsible for generating 25% of the Bowl’s annual electricity usage to work towards becoming the world’s greenest cricket ground. Utilita Bowl’s solar switch on is just days away!  🤩   The final phase of Utilita Bowl's solar installation is now complete, with the remaining 624 panels installed across Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl. Once the solar panels are switched on, the Bowl will generate 25% of its annual electricity usage and save 80 tonnes of carbon per year - the same level of emissions produced by driving 301,855 miles in an average passenger vehicle.    Learn more about how we're helping the Bowl become the world's greenest cricket ground at https://lnkd.in/eTWUbw-M

We were delighted to welcome Penny Brown Chief Operating Officer of Smart DCC, and her colleagues to our head office this week.   Penny and her colleagues joined us to explore our insights and perspectives into the digital demands and complexities suppliers face as we accelerate towards Net Zero.   Utilita has one of the most digitally engaged customer bases – with more than 750,000 My Utilita app users – so we understand how innovation, underpinned by a 24/7 digital high-speed service, helps households benefit equitably as the industry transitions to a greener future. All customers will pay equally for the transition, so it is essential for stakeholders to work together in the interest of all households, but particularly those with a low-income.   No visit to our office is complete unless you spend time with our Extra Care Team, so thank you to Penny, Ian and Claire for taking the time to hear first-hand how our team support some of our most vulnerable customers while you were with us.   Thank you to everyone who attended and a shout out to our Leadership Team, staff and Non-Executive Chairman, Derek Lickorish MBE, for hosting the event.
