We are asking delegates to support us as we take a new direction on our EDI journey - taking part in the QED accreditation - what one piece of advice they could offer us, or to share an EDI initiative that's worked well in their organisation. Supporting our colleagues to use Welsh at work, and developing their Welsh language skills, is part of our 'Addo' commitment, our promise to do everything we can to support the Welsh language for our colleagues and customers. • We’re excited to invite contractors to our Meet the Buyer event on 25th March, an opportunity to connect with our teams and learn about exciting projects we have in the pipeline! Here’s what we’ll be discussing: We’re looking for smaller contractors (1-10 employees) to help Llanw our responsive repair company during peak periods such as extreme weather or high demand for repairs. We invest £15 million annually in repairs and maintenance. We need larger contractors for projects like new roofs, solar panels, and energy efficiency upgrades to meet Welsh Housing Quality Standards (WHQS), with an annual investment of £7.2 million. We also have ambitions to build 300 new homes per year across South Wales and are looking for builders, surveyors, consultants, and construction specialists to bring this vision to life, with investments ranging between £50-70 million. Whether you're a small business or an established company, this event is a great opportunity to explore high-value contracts, collaborate with us, and help shape our communities. We’ve partnered with Barcud Shared Services, Business Wales, and Sell2Wales to support SMEs and help you grow your business.
