In today’s #education landscape, rising costs and #sustainability challenges call for strategic solutions. We worked with a Multi-Academy Trust to reprocure their workplace solutions through our #BestValueFramework, achieving outcomes that illustrate the power of #procurement as a lever for change. By consolidating 31 suppliers into one, we streamlined administrative work, freeing up essential time for teachers and staff to focus on education. Our Workplace Solutions Best Value Framework in partnership with Banner not only yielded 21% cost savings (equivalent to hiring a teaching assistant), through zero-to-landfill waste systems and monthly KPI reports, we’re ensuring the Multi-Academy Trust procurement choices support continuous improvement and environmental responsibility. Our Best Value Frameworks are designed to foster strategic partnerships, driving value beyond savings and creating a pathway to real, measurable impact. https://lnkd.in/eYZhJKuX Let’s leverage procurement as a force for good, enhancing education while championing sustainable and socially responsible practices. #ValueMatch

Did you know that the average secondary school generates 22KG of waste per pupil, yearly! For the Multi-Academy Trust we supported with their procurement, this was more than just a number – it was a call to action. By consolidating waste management to a single supplier, we achieved 11.8% savings and boosted #sustainability efforts, paving the way for the Trust’s Eco School Status. Our approach didn’t just streamline waste handling; it empowered pupils and staff through upskilling initiatives in core topics such as the #circulareconomy practices. Through workshops, annual waste audits, and transparent reporting on recycling, composting, and energy recovery, we’re supporting the next generation to be proactive stewards of their environment. Effective procurement can do more than improve operations and drive savings, it can drive meaningful #environmental and educational impact. This is how we’re redefining waste management: as a vital part of school sustainability and community involvement. Discover more: https://lnkd.in/e9ZdpVYF #ValueMatch

A recent report from the Cabinet Office highlights a pressing and growing challenge: over 4 million children in the UK are now living in poverty, with 800,000 relying on food banks. Read the policy paper here: https://lnkd.in/eiTTGWZf #Procurement stands as a powerful lever for change. By aligning #procurementstrategies with social priorities, we can drive initiatives that address poverty such as economic opportunities. The report underscores the critical role of coordinated efforts across #government, #businesses, and local #communities to improve these areas. As #procurement professionals, we have the tools to support impactful policies and deliver real, measurable outcomes, from creating jobs to supporting children and their families. Let’s make every contract an opportunity for progress, aligning value for money with long-term social impact. Through innovative procurement, our team recently supported a Multi-Academy Trust reprocure their catering services. This achieved both financial and social benefits. Our approach allowed the MAT to reinvest their 29% savings into a Breakfast Club, ensuring that every pupil, begins their day with a nutritious meal. Not only this, through strategic #contractmanagement, we worked with the supplier to create two annual apprenticeship opportunities for pupils, enhancing their education and providing career opportunities and readiness. Procurement holds immense potential to drive social impact, turning each contract into a tool for positive change. Discover more: https://lnkd.in/e9ZdpVYF #ValueMatch

A Multi-Academy Trust faced a significant challenge: excessive administrative tasks consuming teachers' valuable time. To address this, the Trust implemented a unified #ManagementInformationSystem (#MIS), transforming the way schools operate. The efficiency gains are clear:  • Reduced administrative workload by streamlining #datamanagement and automating tasks, allowing #teachers to focus more on #teaching.  • Consolidated 4 separate MIS platforms into a single, unified system, simplifying processes and improving communication and stakeholder engagement.  • Enabled better engagement between #pupils, parents, guardians and staff through a centralised portal, making information access easier and quicker. With these improvements, teachers can invest their time where it matters most, delivering quality #education. #Efficiency isn't just about doing things faster; it's about doing things better. The recent State of the Nations by Child Poverty Action Group UK report highlights a concerning trend, #childpoverty is on the rise, driven largely by Government cuts and the persistent two child limit. Without urgent #policy changes, projections show #poverty levels increasing across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, while Scotland's progress is at risk of stalling. However, by targeting areas identified in the report, we’re already making strides toward meaningful change: Teachers are overburdened, with administrative tasks consuming valuable time that could be spent on education. We've streamlined administrative workloads through unified Management Information Systems, allowing teachers to focus more on supporting their pupils. Investing resources where they matter most. Millions of children go to school hungry, impacting their ability to learn. By cutting catering costs by 29% and reinvesting savings into Breakfast Clubs, ensuring all pupils start their day nourished and ready to succeed, directly tackling the barriers to education identified in the report. High costs of school essentials strain low income families, further entrenching poverty. We've achieved nearly 20% savings on school uniforms and introduced installment payment options, easing the financial burden on families and promoting equal access to education. Sustainable and local solutions are underutilised in education. Through sustainable procurement and local partnerships, we've reduced CO2 emissions and supported community resilience. Aligning with the report and policies that drive both social and sustainability progress. The State of the Nations makes it clear, we need coordinated, actionable strategies to reverse rising child poverty. By taking targeted steps today, we can build a fairer future for the next generation. Discover more: https://lnkd.in/e9ZdpVYF #ValueMatch
