Massive thanks to Dave Worthington, managing director of Verco, for a really insightful industry seminar for our MSc students. It was fascinating to learn about the complexities of truly holistic sustainability projects for commercial clients, in particular, the delivery of a huge net-zero dairy for Arla Foods. And sobering to hear that inefficient building controls are still one of the biggest drivers of excess carbon emissions in the non-domestic sector. Among many insights was the importance of being able to communicate technical solutions at all levels of an organisation.
