Vertali’s unique zTrust for Networks dramatically reduces the time, effort and costs involved in detecting, monitoring and optionally enforcing network access and provides a valuable tool for adhering to compliance standards and regulations. Network Discovery - Differentiating between clear and encrypted network connections is the key. zTrust software identifies: - Applications that are permanently or temporarily accepting inbound non-encrypted and/or inbound encrypted connections - Applications that are making outbound non encrypted and/or outbound encrypted connections - Network segments that are accessing specific applications without encryption and/or with encryption Network Micro-segmentation - A key mechanism to control network access and can often be a requirement for regulatory compliance such as PCI/DSS. e.

Simply relying on network perimeter security for sensitive mainframe applications may not be enough to pass compliance. Cyber Security Awareness Month is a good time to draw your attention to this important blog on the subject from Vertali's terry stanton. Running a #mainframe requires a zero trust strategy including not trusting anything outside the server. If you protect the mainframe, you must have the right security measures in place on the server itself. If you're the Mainframe Manager, it's your job to safeguard data and applications, control access, and ensure #cybersecurity - you have to ensure the right mechanisms are in place on the box itself. Network segmentation is crucial for this strategy and for compliance like PCI/DSS. Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/ehkz3mWM

Are you ready to upgrade to TLS 1.3? With support for TLS (Transport Layer Security) version 1.0 and 1.1 ending on 31st October, Vertali can help you to upgrade and better secure your operations. As new TLS versions are developed, previous versions become outdated for vulnerabilities or technical reasons, and should no longer be used. If you’re not on TLS v1.2 already, we’d recommend upgrading for best-in-class encryption. But if you want to truly protect your operations, you need to move to TLS v1.3. However, we know upgrading can be a challenge, especially if it’s unclear what versions of TLS you have in use: many versions can be in use across an estate. The key first step is understanding your current encryption levels, then tracking what percentage of encrypted connections are migrated, and which remain. Vertali’s zTrust Network Discovery as a Service is your start and end point: you will gain a complete picture of all TLS connections, and following the upgrade can assess and confirm full conversion and a successful migration. If you’d like more information on improving your security and migrating to TLS 1.3, you can learn more here, email info@vertali.com or call us on +44 1527 868 https://lnkd.in/e3J_CYgk 380. #mainframe #ibmz
