Drum roll.... Vertigo Films is thrilled to confirm production of a new feature documentary profiling the unique legacy of Scottish funk sensation Average White Band. Average White Band are a Scottish funk and R&B band that had a series of soul and disco hits in the 1970's and are best known for their million-selling hit "Pick Up the Pieces". Their early work led to them attracting a stellar group of admirers including Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Ben E. King and a young Barack Obama and their music has been sampled by everyone from the Beastie Boys and Public Enemy to TLC and A Tribe Called Quest.
