In this first post dedicated to our rich heritage, we take you back to 1849, when the Association Fraternelle des Ouvriers Lunetiers was founded in Paris. This cooperative of skilled craftsmen quickly evolved into the Société des Lunetiers (SL). By 1861, SL had incorporated glass expertise with the ambition of becoming a leading manufacturer of corrective lenses. The opening of the first international office in London in 1868 marked the start of exports to Europe, the Middle East, and Northern and Latin America. Verve & Four Celebrate at the Third Sector Awards Some of the Verve and Four Agency Worldwide team attended the Third Sector Awards today to celebrate the success of our Spot the Stop campaign for the Cure & Action for Tay-Sachs (CATS) Foundation, which was also nominated for Communications Campaign of the Year! 🎉 Tay-Sachs is a neurodegenerative disease affecting infants, leading to loss of motor and cognitive functions. Early diagnosis is critical but often delayed due to low awareness among healthcare professionals. Our Spot the Stop campaign aims to improve early detection and save time in critical interventions. These awards celebrate the achievements of charities and their partners in creating meaningful change. Although we didn’t win, being a finalist for such a meaningful campaign is a huge achievement. What a night!! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that we won a bronze at the PM Society Digital Awards for our Spot the Stop campaign for the Cure & Action for Tay-Sachs (CATS) Foundation! The competition and quality of work were incredibly high, making this achievement even more special. Partnering with Dan Linton and Kelly Smith, and the brilliant minds at Four Health , our campaign has been groundbreaking—responsible for 75% of all Tay-Sachs diagnoses across the UK this year. And even better, we’ve slashed diagnosis times from a daunting 9-12 months to just 4-6 weeks. Thank you once again to Daniel Lewi and Patrícia Durão for the trust and support with this campaign.
