Another season at Goodwood has come to a close, which means we are now left with excess stock from our ‘Vespasian Tuck Shop’, a service created earlier this year for team members to access refreshments (and most importantly, sweet treats 🍬 ) whilst on-site at events, without having to pay any inflated prices. The shop was initially trialled with help from Oliver Gardiner BSc MSyl, Mel Jenkins Assoc CIPD and Jake Browning, and continued to join us at all of our events throughout the season, from Goodwood’s Festival of Speed to Glastonbury Festival. As to not let any go to waste, we’ll be donating the remainder of our stock to local Portsmouth Food Banks this week.💚
About us
Vespasian Security was formed in February 2006. We are a family owned business based on reliability, strong communication and our passion for our community. We pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive approach to our clients and staff. Our diverse portfolio of regular clients including national monuments, large business facilities, live events, film locations, licensed venues, private individuals as well as local government in UK and abroad, is a testament to the trust gained by the Vespasian team. Vespasian Security are an approved contractor with the SIA, Safecontractor (Alumus) and CHAS approved. Couple this with Vespasian’s membership of the United Kingdom Crowd Management Association (UKCMA) and the fact that the company is a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant, Vespasian is not your average security and crowd management company. Deploying teams to assist a wide variety of clients, Vespasian Security focuses on projects where they are the sole contractor, ensuring team quality, staff welfare and consistency of service. Named after the Roman General and Emperor Titus Flavius Caesar Vespasian Augustus, Vespasian Security has always aimed to provide regular, dependable work, interspersed with exciting opportunities for staff to step out of their comfort zones and push themselves to achieve great things. Feel free to contact us and see how you can be part of the Vespasian Security story: info@vespasiansecurity.co.uk 02392 295 503

What a Monday! We’re so pleased to share that Sharon Alleyne, our Northern Region Manager has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Security & Fire Excellence Awards!🥳 Throughout the last 12 years, Sharon has joined us at monumental events across the country. Usually operating as a Radio Controller in JEC, she plays a vital role in muti-agency collaboration at events, from the King’s Coronation to VIP suites at BST Hyde Park. We’re all ecstatic to have her hard work recognised on a national platform!✨ Fingers crossed for the award ceremony in December!

Yesterday, a Vespasian team cycled 45 miles in aid of The Prince's Trust! 🚵♀️ The team biked from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle for the second year in a row and we are so unbelievably proud of them! Although the DOMS has now sufficiently kicked in, it was such a privilege to take part in an event for the Prince's Trust, a charity that we have worked so closely with. A massive congratulations to anyone who took on the challenge yesterday, it was one tough route! 🌄 We'll see you next year!

Last week, we put up a board in the office where we the team could pop any advice they would give to someone new looking to join the security industry. 💭 Whether their advice was anonymous or not, we definitely found the varying advice interesting and all definitely things that we wish we had been told as newbies! Despite the light reflections on the board (where has the sun been this July?) take a read of what the office has said and let us know what advice you would add! ✨

It's pictures like these that allow us to get a glimpse of the scale of Glastonbury and even then, it doesn't do it justice! Now we've have had time to catch up on some sleep, we can fully appreciate the scale of Glastonbury Festival, and what an incredible job our crowd management team did!🌟 It was amazing to help out at arguably the most well-known festival in the country. We couldn't have done it without the great team out on the ground with us, you've truly outdone yourselves🫶

Working in the event industry often means spending time away from home and our families. While this time away is part and parcel of our job, as we're sure all of our friends within the industry will tell you, it doesn't make it any easier. This past weekend, our team had the opportunity to work at the fantastic Americana festival, Black Deer in Kent. However, this meant that our Father's Day was slightly unconventional! It’s times like these that we truly appreciate and are able to feel firsthand the importance of a strong and supportive team. We're incredibly proud of all our staff and hope they will enjoy some well-deserved celebration time with their families this week! ✨

Living in Portsmouth, we are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by rich history that keeps the spirit of D-Day alive throughout the year; our city is a living memorial where D-Day is woven into our everyday lives. From the monuments to the museum, we are continuously reminded of both the efforts and sacrifices made by the soldiers, sailors and airmen who fought. On this day and every day, we remember.
