About us

Vickers Oils started trading in 1828 and remains a private, independent company now led by the 6th and 7th generations of the family to work in the company. We enjoy a worldwide reputation as a reliable and innovative supplier of high performance, speciality lubricants, delivered globally to over 60 countries with regional stock points worldwide. We support our customers with our dedicated customer service team, offering ‘one to one’ technical support and third-party oil condition monitoring service (CMS). In 2002 Vickers Oils launched the world’s first biodegradable sterntube oil, HYDROX BIO, which quickly became the industry standard. Vickers Oils also enjoy a leading position as an independent manufacturer of quality textile lubricants and have more recently diversified our offering into the food and mining industries. Our oils are manufactured at our premises in Leeds U.K. in strict accordance with our Quality Control systems which ensures the highest possible standards. Our oils are proven to increase machine productivity and minimise faults, therefore reducing costs. Now, after serving the marine industry with speciality lubricants for more than one hundred years, our main focus for the future is the continued development of our award winning Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant range into new and existing markets.
