Updates

  • The Victoria and Albert Museum South Kensington Fashion Gallery is about to undergo a major transformation. One of the museum’s largest and most visited spaces, it’s been a source of inspiration for fashion designers from Vivienne Westwood to Alexander McQueen to Rahemur Rahman - but it hasn’t been structurally redeveloped since 1962. With support from Burberry, the gallery will reopen in Spring 2027 as ‘The Burberry Gallery’. The existing gallery will close on 4th May 2025 but the fashion collection will continue to be accessible at V&A East Storehouse from 31st May 2025, and online at www.vam.ac.uk

    • A large hallway with indented glass display cases under a circular platform, featuring mannequins dressed in outfits from across the last few hundred years. Members of the public are walking by, some are blurred. There is a decorate tile floor.
  • Please join us in welcoming Mariella Frostrup, Vick Hope, Andrew Keith, Akshata Murty, Nigel Newton and Pedro Pina to the V&A's Board of Trustees.   With experience from across the worlds of finance, broadcast, education, publishing, digital innovation and much more, these six Trustees have been appointed by the Prime Minister to join the V&A during a transformative period with the upcoming opening of V&A East Storehouse this May and an exciting exhibition including Cartier, Design and Disability, Marie Antoinette Style and The Music is Black at V&A East Museum in Spring 2026.    We look forward to receiving their insight, strategic leadership and unique perspectives as we work to deliver the V&A’s mission championing creativity in all its forms for everyone.

Nestled in the heart of the Staffordshire Potteries, the V&A Wedgwood Collection tells the story of creativity, community and centuries of change through a unique collection of 175,000 objects.
