As Hurricane Milton hit Florida this week, investors in catastrophe bonds are girding themselves for substantial losses. Insured losses could be up to $150bn, with corresponding catastrophe bond market losses of up to 15% according to investors. It was great to catch up with the LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) Issuer Services team last week! We appreciated learning more about the full extent of the services available on the LSEG platform and it was interesting to discuss the future of financial communications and hear about planned developments for reporting company news. The Vigo team had a fantastic time visiting Bloomberg’s London office! It was interesting to find out more about Bloomberg’s podcast, radio, and TV production offering and gain insight into what they are searching for in business news. We were also lucky enough to experience Bloomberg’s pantry and see the infamous Bloomberg terminal in action. Thank you to Ashleigh Furlong for kindly hosting us and being an excellent tour guide.
