What a whirlwind the past few weeks have been! I’ve been fortunate enough to be involved in some brilliant initiatives at work recently: 🌍 SSIEM Conference in Porto: I had the privilege of attending the SSIEM conference, where myself Matt and Oliver filmed insightful interviews with colleagues and customers. A great opportunity to learn, network, and capture valuable insights. 🎬 Patient Ambassador Visit: We welcomed our fantastic Irish Ambassadors to head office, where the team ran creator training sessions and filmed some fantastic content. It’s always inspiring to collaborate with our patients and help amplify important voices. Shout out to Claire, Amy and Susan for such an amazing programme! 🌊 Marketing Volunteer Day: I had the pleasure of organizing a day out at Crosby Beach, where our amazing team came together to clean up the shoreline and repair the boardwalk - making it safer for the community to enjoy. Thank you to Jo for helping me organise! 🏃♂️ NSPKU Charity Run: Myself, Tricia and Alistair participated in a charity run to raise funds for the NSPKU - an organization very close to Vitaflo's heart. Proud to support such an important cause, and grateful for all those who donated and cheered us on! 🌟 Reflecting on SSIEM Congress in Porto 🇵🇹 Last week, I had the privilege of attending the SSIEM congress in Porto, and I'm thrilled to share some of the exciting developments that have given me much food for thought in the field of inborn errors of metabolism. The congress provided a platform for groundbreaking presentations on the latest advancements in the understanding and treatment of inborn errors of metabolism. The insights and discussions at the congress have sparked new ideas and perspectives that will undoubtedly shape the future of metabolic disorder research and patient care. From emerging therapies to novel diagnostic approaches, the strides being made in this field are nothing short of remarkable. In addition to the enriching professional experience, it was also a pleasure to catch up with customers, colleagues, and friends. The opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and share experiences added immense value to the overall congress experience. On a lighter note, I also really enjoyed being back in Porto, a truly beautiful and unique city!
