After the launch of our new company, Kumo, it was very significant to attend one of the biggest crypto events this year, TOKEN2049, to connect with new people in our industry and discuss how we can help companies seamlessly implement blockchain technology.
Last week, our Kumo team attended TOKEN2049 in Singapore – the world’s largest crypto event 🌏 With over 20,000 attendees and 400+ exhibitors, the energy was electric. We saw great speakers and panels discussing the future of crypto and what's next for the space. We also spent quality time as a team - which was bonding and inspiring. Beyond the excitement, we got to connect with some really cool people to talk about alternative blockchain use cases like travel, identity management, real estate, and more. The discussions we had reaffirmed that blockchain is evolving beyond the obvious use cases, and it’s clear that Kumo is in the right place, driving innovation where it truly matters.

IBC - International Broadcasting Convention 2024 Recap: Key Trends and Insights IBC was somewhat different this year! Here are some of the biggest takeaways: 🚀 Market Growth and New Opportunities: The increased movement of talent from one company to another and the surge in collaborations are strong indicators of growth and investment in the streaming and broadcast sectors. Various factors are reshaping the commercial landscape and opening up new opportunities for sales and service contracts. 🤖 AI Dominance: AI stole the show at IBC, showcasing its pivotal role through various system integrations, highlighting its increasing importance in the industry and it picked up the momentum. 🤝 Partnerships: There were so many partnerships announced which surprised me, changes might be coming towards this industry and they should! This might be a good or a bad sign which only time will tell. 🤝 Meeting new people: Beyond reuniting with old industry friends, I had the pleasure of meeting outstanding new individuals like Chris Wilson, Jeremy Ang C. 🧑💻 How have we developed a system for processing payments and databases in real time: DHS Arabia, a Saudi-based healthcare IT provider, asked the Vodworks team to develop an enterprise-grade automated billing & invoicing platform. Development: ▪️ Vodworks backend engineers were architecting a system capable of processing payments and updating databases in real time. ▪️ Meanwhile, our frontend engineers worked to design a user-friendly interface. ▪️ Our QA engineers were responsible for testing to identify and fix any bugs or issues.
