"Why don’t we go in search of some birthday balloons?” Rob Punshon, Corporate & Lifestyle Communications Manager's opening line when the team first started planning celebrations for the Golf's 50th birthday.   Fast forward 12 months to Cappadocia, Turkey, where Volkswagen unveiled a very special birthday hot air balloon as part of its ongoing celebrations to mark 50 years of the Volkswagen Golf!   Flanked by an original Golf Mk I and the newly launched and significantly revised Golf Mk 8, the #Golf50 hot air balloon took to the skies amongst hundreds of other birthday balloons, with lifestyle media and influencers from 15 countries, including China, the United States, and South Korea. The 6 day event was a huge success, delivering fantastic overage for the Golf.   Mike Orford Head of PR and Communications, added: "I'm incredibly proud that Rob's inspired idea involving huge birthday balloons was selected by our colleagues in HQ to become the brand's flagship international lifestyle media event for the Golf's anniversary.
