Members of The VPS Group, Chief of Staff Team recently set to work on their annual volunteering day at Thornage Hall – a residential and day care centre for young adults with special educational needs, in North Norfolk. Giving back is part of our ‘VPS Makes a Difference’ initiative and this year the team were tasked with building marquees and preparing the event space for the Thornage Hall Family & Community Open Day, whilst also learning about bee keeping, animal care and chatting to the young adults about their experiences of living at and attending Thornage Hall. This is the third year that the team have supported Thornage Hall and Les Rushworth, Group Head of Agile, Test and Power Platforms said ‘it’s always a fantastic day. The CoS Team get stuck in and every job we can do, means that the Thornage Hall staff can busy themselves supporting the young people who are there to learn and develop their skills. There is always a lot of laughter during the day and it always feels great to be giving back and making a difference, as well as leaving tech behind for the day’.
