Artist’s Choice: Grace Wales Bonner – Spirit Movers is now open at The Museum of Modern Art. For the sixteenth instalment of MoMA's Artist's Choice series, Grace Wales Bonner has selected more than fifty artworks from the museum's collection. Sculptures seem to tremble with sound; scores evoke ceremonies; drawings trace states of reverie. The exhibition creates multisensory connections between pictures and poems, music and performance, hearing and touch, spirit and matter, gestures and vibrations, and bodies in motion. Creating a space for collective experience, the exhibition invites us to enter the world of "spirit movers." Together, we might sense their stories and dream in their many rhythms.
