This Women's History Month, some of our inspirational women will be sharing who's inspired them. Liz Graham, a Partner in our Pensions team, has chosen Anne Bronte. Born near Bradford in 1820, she challenged the harsh realities faced by women in the 19th century. Her novel The Tenant of Wildfell Hall was ground breaking - telling the story of a woman escaping an abusive marriage at a time when wives had no legal rights. Anne was fearless, using her writing to challenge injustice and expose women's lack of rights. A woman ahead of her time—her legacy still inspires today. #WomensHistoryMonth #InspiringWomen #WalkerMorris

Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting Sally, Tilly, Sully and Lylah from Moment to Paws. Stats show that a 10 minute interaction with a dog results in a significant reduction in cortisol levels and our new furry friends definitely brightened our day! #Doggies #WalkerMorris
We kicked off this week with a very enjoyable visit to Walker Morris LLP in Leeds. Sally, Tilly, Sully and Lylah were in full tail wagging flow and brought even more sunshine to hard working staff. Thanks to everyone who joined us and we hope to see you again soon 🐾 #dogtherapy #dogsoflinkedin #workplacewellbeing

The Employment Rights Bill has finished the first stage of its journey through Parliament, having passed through the House of Commons. It now goes to the House of Lords for further discussion and review. The Bill's journey through the Commons led to a number of amendments and additions to many of the key issues for employers, including the proposals for zero/low-hour contracts, day one rights, increased time limits for tribunal claims, collective redundancies, and the strengthening of trade union rights. Find out the state of play on the key issues and how you can prepare here: https://lnkd.in/epkW59_f #EmploymentRightsBill #EmploymentLaw #WalkerMorris

We really enjoyed being part of vital discussions at The Yorkshire Climate Action Coalition dinner, discussing Climate Action 2030. As local leaders it's so important that we come together to drive meaningful change and share our collective vision for a sustainable future. We’re incredibly proud to have been part of the event, where we joined prominent figures from the region's business and civic communities. A huge thank you to Deloitte, Space Hub Yorkshire, University of Leeds, Henry Boot, National Wealth Fund and our own Ben Sheppard for sharing their insights and sparking meaningful conversations. Together, we’ve reflected on the tremendous progress we’ve made over the last five years and explored how Yorkshire can continue to lead the way in climate action over the next decade. #ClimateAction2030 #Sustainability #YorkshireAndHumber

This Women’s History Month, some of our inspirational women will be sharing who's inspired them. Lucie Pearmain, our Learning & Development Business Partner, has chosen Beryl Burton, a Yorkshire cycling legend who defied the odds. She dominated the sport for over 20 years, winning 90+ domestic titles and even beating the men’s 12-hour time trial record in 1967. While raising a family and working on a rhubarb farm, Beryl trained relentlessly, driven by passion, not sponsorships. Who inspires you? #WomensHistoryMonth #BreakingBarriers #BerylBurton #WalkerMorris
