When it comes to fulfilment and logistics, there is lots of jargon and plenty of acronyms that can be confusing, especially for those new to the field. At Warehow, our mission is to make fulfilment simple, so to help you navigate some of this jargon, we've compiled a list of terms and definitions, plus a few ecommerce related terms that may also be useful. Whilst you might already be familiar with many of these terms, the constantly evolving nature of ecommerce means that it's always beneficial to keep abreast of the latest terminology. This list isn’t all encompassing but is designed to serve as a handy reference, ensuring you have a clear understanding of the language of logistics. #fulfilment #logistics #ecommerce https://lnkd.in/d2U8H9u9

Our CEO Pete Harris dispels some of the misunderstandings associated with off-price marketplace channels and how these clearance channels can boost your core business sales and improve the customer journey. #ecommerce #fulfilment #marketplaces #warehow
This post follows on from my recent piece ‘The Marketplace Cannibalisation Conundrum.’ As with the assumption ‘won’t marketplaces just cannibalise sales?’, there is often an aversion for brands to utilise off-price marketplace channels for clearance. The nervousness is understandable. Businesses spend millions and many years carefully curating and marketing their brand. Why risk your hard work in an environment that’s not fully under your control, not to mention customers thinking they may be able to get your branded product at a better price than on your own .com? In this article, I address how rather than being a risk, off price clearance channels offer lots of potential wins. Read more below: #ecommerce #fulfilment #marketplaces #warehow

Our CEO, Pete Harris, shares his thoughts about the marketplace cannibalisation conundrum and why brands should feel encouraged to sell on marketplaces. Read the entire piece below: #marketplaces #ecommerce #warehow
Over the years, I’ve spoken with senior management at many businesses whose opinions vary between being slightly concerned, or being totally convinced, that selling their branded ranges through marketplaces will cannibalise their core sales and simply add costs and complexity. The reality is, it’s very hard to get conclusive data one way or the other. Let’s be honest and admit that today, lots of people shop in lots of places, so it’s really hard to know with any certainty what’s an incremental sale or what might be cannibalisation, but there are few key facts that I think help the argument in favour of marketplaces. Warehow is considering crowdfunding! So, 2023 is a wrap! It’s been hard work and not without its challenges, but we are pleased to have more than tripled revenues vs 2022, made possible with the entire team's hard work and commitment and our clients. We were confident from day one that the growth in fashion marketplaces, and the push from many of the biggest industry players to significantly increase their supplier direct fulfilled offer, rather than wholesale, meant there were businesses who would need or want 3rd party support to make the most of this opportunity. Warehow set out its stall from day one to be low complexity and allow businesses both big and small to fulfil their marketplace sales quickly and efficiently without the need for expensive in-house IT changes, or changes to an existing warehouse operational model. If you’d like to know about how the Warehow team can help your business grow through marketplaces, reach out to us at hello@warehow.com. We're looking forward to an even busier 2024!
