We’re here when people need us most. But in the nicest possible way, we hope
they won’t.
We provide vital critical medical care by land and air, across Wiltshire and Bath.
In effect, we give the same level of critical care as a hospital but bring the expert
team and specialist equipment to the people in need. And we do it as fast as humanly possible. Our aim is to give people the very best chance of survival, and that’s why our medical expertise, kit and transport is of the highest standard.
Our paramedics and doctors are highly trained in critical care and supported
by specialist medical equipment, enabling them to provide leading edge care in
extreme, often life-threatening situations.
On call every day for up to 19 hours,
on average they respond to three incidents by helicopter and two critical care cars. Speed is our superpower. From our airbase in Semington, the helicopter can reach
anywhere in Wilshire within 11 minutes and be in the centre of Bath in just four minutes.
We can’t do any of this vital work without your help. As a registered charity, we don’t receive government funding, relying entirely on voluntary donations and support from businesses and our local Wiltshire and Bath communities. Right now, we’re working to raise the £4.5 million a year needed to keep our lifesaving service going.
