About last night ✨ It’s hard to describe just how magical it was to take our #Staffordshire #ambassadors up the newly renovated central spire at Lichfield Cathedral last night. Autumn in all its colour lay like a carpet beneath us as we took in the views (after a pretty brisk climb!) and as dusk fell it just felt so special. 🍂 Topped off with a selection of cheeses - and biscuits of course(!) - kindly donated by Staffordshire cheese manufacturer Ornua and sublime gin from Apiarist, based right here in Lichfield too! 🧀🍹 A huge thanks to hosts Simon Warburton Karen Jennings and team at the cathedral for yet another great event, Philip Carter at Ornua, the team at Apiarist and our guests for joining us for this, our 6th experience event! 🤝 Do look out for details of our next events - and pop along to join us TODAY for our Ambassador Event focussing on start-ups and growing businesses, taking place at Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce ‘Let’s do Business’ Expo at Uttoxeter Racecourse - completely FREE to attend! 🚀 #placemarketing #networking #wearestaffordshire Hannah Ault DL Philip White Sarah James Anthony Hodge Lauren Hunt Louise Shaw Charlotte Cain Darryl Eyers John Tradewell Mark Ellis Kirsty Rollings Mary-ann Astle John B.

🔍 Staffordshire in the spotlight We've seen some fantastic media coverage beyond our county's borders over the past few weeks. The Ramblers Retreat has been selected as one of National Geographic's top 5 tea rooms and afternoon teas in the UK. The Ramblers is situated in the beautiful Churnet Valley in the Staffordshire Moorlands and is a popular spot for walkers exploring the area 🍰☕ The Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) are on a mission to attract more international visitors to the county. A recent narrowboat holiday in and around Lichfield featured in the Irish Post and was supported by Lichfield District Council, the National Memorial Arboretum, Lichfield Cathedral, Shugborough Estate, Pom's Kitchen and Canalside Farm. Read the article here 👉 https://bit.ly/47QjqPr The Sunday Times paid a visit to The Tawny Hotel's new Fledgling accommodation, giving it the accolade of 'the swishest new self catering to open this year'! Read more 👉 https://bit.ly/3NcNETd A recent article in The Telegraph showcased the stunning areas in and around the National Forest with visits to The National Memorial Arboretum and Hoar Cross Hall Spa Hotel Read here 👉 https://bit.ly/4dEru78 It's no secret to us that Staffordshire is packed with wonderful places to visit and things to do so it's brilliant to see this recognition of what we have to offer, confirming us as a destination of choice for visitors. #WeAreStaffordshire #EnjoyStaffordshire #VisitStaffordshire

Plans to reimagine Midway car park in Newcastle into a contemporary urban neighbourhood have been submitted to Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council 🏗 Social impact developers Capital&Centric are set to transform the 1960s car park into 100 one-to-three bed apartments with landscaping underneath a three-floor atrium. A social hub with a gym, mini-cinema and lounge is also planned. It’s part of the developers’ push to give brutalist concrete structures in prime town centre spots a new lease of life whilst saving embodied carbon within them. The proposed neighbourhood is the first of three sites being brought forward with the Council to re-boot key town centre spaces. Read more 👉 https://bit.ly/4gCR2Eo #WeAreStaffordshire
