    Get to know our 2024 WCS #LGBTQ+ Awards Winners! 🏆🏳️🌈 This year's WCS | Awards are celebrating Queer Leaders across Spain - LGBTQ+ change-makers who are using their platforms, profile and roles to drive change, making the world a more inclusive place for all LGBTQ+ people. 🌍 José Luis Espinosa Sales sits on the Council at the International Educational Exchange (CIEE) Barcelona. At the institution, he has delivered reviews and policy enhancements on body, gender, and ethnicity. José leads training sessions on gender, raising awareness and developing actionable plans to support faculty and students. Using the "World Café" methodology, José Luis's team created a list of safe spaces for LGBTQ+ students, integrated DEI-focused content into syllabi, and developed an inclusive language glossary. In his Literature and Filmmaking courses, José Luis features pioneers like Pedro Almodóvar, engaging students in critical analyses of diversity in Spanish society. Kanndiss Riley is a leader, entrepreneur, and disability rights advocate. As the Founder of NBE FITNESS CIC, ze is dedicated to improving the well-being and quality of life for people living with chronic illness and disabilities. Kanndiss has developed a unique hybrid platform that brings people together for social activities, reducing isolation and preventing preventable health conditions. Kanndiss is a strong voice for intersectionality and advocates for anti-racism, neurodiversity, body positivity, and culture change.     Another amazing Mid-Life Queers event with the fabulous Dr. Paul Taylor-Pitt! 🌱🏳️🌈 Last night we were at Soho House & Co in Brighton to discuss ageing, belong and the need for intergenerational spaces in the #LGBTQ+ community, with an amazing panel featuring Liz Ridgway, Erica Rose and S J Watson. Chloe is a dynamic artist of poetry, performance, and black feminism, with a gift for igniting social change through her art. She is a celebrated public speaker and workshop facilitator, inspiring and empowering audiences with her powerful message of equality and justice. Her career includes performances at prestigious venues such as the Victoria and Albert Museum UAL Feminist Society and the Women of the World Festival with Black Lives Matter.     Join our first Queer Living #webinar on Queerness & Polyamory! 💖🏳️🌈 Polyamory, whilst not inherently queer, is a common practice in the LGBTQ+ community. As part one of our new series of community conversations, speakers Ali Hendry and Jua O'Kane will be exploring the judgement, misconceptions and stigma attached to polyamory, as well as revealing the benefits & joys of this highly misunderstood relationship model. 💭 This session will explore: - The lexicon of polyamory - The richness of Queer polyamorous history - How to make non-monogamy work Ali Hendry is an Inclusion Consultant, Holistic Life Coach, TEDx speaker (Survivor's Guide to Jealousy) and relationship columnist at DIVA Magazine, using her platform to educate and empower others through her personal experiences as a queer woman.     Our new community conversation series: #QueerLiving! 🏳️🌈😌 In this new webinar series we’ll be exploring a range of themes, across areas of lifestyles and relationships, through an intersectional and LGBTQ+ lens. 🌎 Our guest speakers are valued members of the WCS Leadership Collective and they’ll share their insights, lived experiences and thoughts during each session with a short TedX style talk followed by a conversation with one of the WCS Team plus an opportunity for you to ask questions. Tackling thought-provoking topics such as polyamory, chosen families, nature & healthcare access, we’ll also dive into what queer living means to our speakers, how it shows up in their lives and what they put out there into the world.
