Our adventure staffing the world’s largest racing event this year has been remarkable, and we're pleased to announce that we've now successfully managed 15 races globally. 🌎 As the global staffing partner for stichd, we have welcomed thousands of fans to our retail pop-ups, with our Brand Ambassadors dedicated to ensuring every engagement is memorable. Trigger warning (baby loss) ⚠️ and personal post alert! Today marks the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week. Sadly, this year, this week holds a deeper significance for me as my family became one of the +250,000 families that experience the heartbreak of losing a child each year. That means about 1 in 4 families who fall pregnant each year in the UK will experience loss before birth. Take that in for moment... Grief of any kind is never easy to navigate, and baby loss comes with its own layers - grieving the child you never got to see grow up and also the life you were planning and dreaming of having together. Everyone is different when thrown into grief, Elevate Global and Carina Filek recognised this and were incredibly supportive during the immediate aftermath and in my return to work. They offered me space, flexibility, and we worked together on a sensible return-to-work plan that balanced mine and the businesses needs. There are so many examples of companies getting this wrong but Elevate was human and kind - its as simple as that, and it has made all the difference. I am now at a place in my journey where I can reflect and I have learnt a tonne over the last 3 months. I'm committed and motivated to using my own experience to help others who may find themselves in similar situations. Whether it's with navigating the initial shit storm, the continued whirlwind of difficult emotions, or with finding a path back to work when your world has changed completely. Through ElevateHer we have already developed some initiatives to support women in the workplace but we know we can always do more. I'm excited to be working on long-term support systems and practical guidance for both individuals and businesses around baby loss (among other things) that I plan to share soon. I hope these resources can extend to individuals and businesses beyond Elevate - so stay tuned. In the meantime, if you, a colleague, or someone you know is facing anything similar please don’t hesitate to reach out, I’d be honoured to offer any support or advice. Living with dyslexia my whole life, I’ve experienced first-hand the challenges it brings, especially in the workplace.  In school, dyslexia wasn’t well understood—I was often labelled “dumb” or seen as not capable academically. To avoid writing, I left school early with one GCSE under my belt. But in my 20s, working in London, I realised dyslexia was real and something I’d always have to manage. Even now, reading and writing emails can be tough. But over time, I’ve learned to be more open and much kinder to myself. If I make a mistake, I don’t beat myself up as much. I’ve adapted! 💪 For those with dyslexia, my message is: don't hide it. Share your challenges and let go of the pressure to be perfect. I may be the CEO at Elevate Global , but I have no shame in asking someone to check my work. To employers, I encourage you to be open-minded. With the right tools and support, people with dyslexia can thrive. Let’s create workplaces where everyone, no matter their challenges, can succeed. I didn’t either, but I’m all here for it! 💆🏻 As someone who’s spent years navigating the demands of a fast-paced career in the events industry, I’ve truly learned how crucial it is to find the right balance between work and personal life. During National Work Life Week (which is this week!), I want to remind everyone that taking time for yourself isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. 🧑🏻⚖️ In my own experience, I’ve had to learn how to set boundaries, take breaks, and focus on self-care to prevent burnout. I can’t believe a decade has passed since we took Elevate Global to the US! Elevate Global US is 10!! 🥳🎈 Starting off as a team of 3, the move to the US was definitely a journey – but I’m now so glad we took the plunge. I’m often asked about how we made the hop over the pond and drove success; it wasn't easy, but it was worth it! Lots of travel, late nights and lessons along the way...
