We’re all still on a high from the success of our first ever in-store event at Designer Exchange, and we wanted to take a moment and say a huge thank you to everyone that attended last Thursday. It was a pleasure to have you in store and engage with our community with real life connections. A big thank you also goes out to our internal DE Team who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this event to life, you don't go unnoticed!🎉 The event was filled with excitement, incredible deals and of course lots and lots of preloved Chanel🤩. Even though the event didn’t start until 5pm we had people turning up and queuing for the amazing deals from as early as 3:30pm, and by opening we had a line around the block! From the five lucky winners who bagged themselves FREE Chanel items and to those who found iconic pieces for lower prices than ever before, it really was a night to remember.👜✨ The old Hollywood theme brought an extra touch of glamour, with bubbly, popcorn, and a live DJ creating the perfect atmosphere for a late-night shopping experience. It's our favourite time of the month...Second Hand September!!! To kick off Second Hand September, our studio team came together for an internal clothes swap, embracing an initiative that we champion not just in September, but all year round.💚 Launched by Oxfam in 2019, Second Hand September challenges people to rethink their shopping habits by committing to buying only preloved pieces for an entire month. With millions of tons of clothing ending up in landfills each year due to over production and the short life cycle of fast fashion, this movement urges people to slow down and support a more sustainable, circular fashion economy. ♻️ We are so happy to be taking part in this movement again this year and feel like it's important to action what we preach. We were thrilled with how many of our staff took part in this clothes swap (accompanied with breakfast pastries) and all clothes leftover will be donated to Oxfam. We encourage all businesses to get together, dig out those clothes in your wardrobe you no longer wear and host your very own internal clothes swap. This is just one of many ways that you can make a difference in the fight against fast fashion, making fashion more circular and giving clothes another life and story! Designer Exchange On Tour! 📍 We’re thrilled to share that last month we completed our first international shoot in the beautiful South of France!🇫🇷 Despite the weather not being on our side 😢, our team worked tirelessly over two days to capture some incredible content featuring a stunning collection of preloved luxury pieces. This shoot served as a reminder to not stress about the uncontrollable aspects of shoot days and instead to focus on the positives of what you can control. And from here the positives kept on coming... an abundance of gorgeous preloved luxury stock, two amazing models, a picture perfect classic car, a beautiful château as the backdrop, a positive and skilled team and a successful first international shoot.
