Wentworth Members recently enjoyed the TaylorMade Tour Truck Experience, giving an exclusive opportunity to step aboard before Tour players. The TaylorMade Tour team worked on-site, with Members having the chance to witness the craftsmanship behind the assembly of their custom-fitted Qi35 driver. Members received their custom-fitted clubs on the same day and also enjoyed a short message from two-time major champion and world number four, Collin Morikawa!

On International Women’s Day, we take a moment to celebrate the incredible women making waves in the golfing industry. This day provides us with the perfect opportunity to recognise the increasing number of females who are thriving in a traditionally male-dominated field. In celebration of this year's Employee Appreciation Day, we launched an immersive initiative for one day only – ‘A Day in the Life of’. This special opportunity allowed employees to immerse themselves in different roles, foster new connections, and gain a deeper understanding of how each department contributes to the ongoing success of the Club. For the day, employees were paired with colleagues from different departments, giving them the chance to shadow and collaborate on a variety of day-to-day tasks. This initiative provided valuable insights into how the seamless integration of various teams is essential to the smooth operation of the Club. Katherine Barton, our People & Culture Advisor, spent the day with the Greenkeeping team. “Today was a great opportunity to see firsthand the day-to-day tasks of the greenkeeping team, and the hard work and teamwork that goes into keeping the courses looking great.” Hannah Douglas, our Senior Spa Therapist joined the Golf team, experiencing firsthand the intricacies of their work. Kelly Tyrrell, Executive PA shadowed the Facilities Team “The departmental swap today has been a wonderful idea and a great opportunity to have. In working in with Facilities, I've covered a variety of jobs which has ranged from checking swimming pool levels to changing gas canisters for the outdoor patio heaters and learning about what's involved with each task. The swap has let me see the types of jobs that the facilities team deals with daily and has given me a greater understanding of the work the team does. We appreciate you and thank you for all the work that you do!

On National Apprenticeship Week we take a moment to celebrate the remarkable apprentices at Wentworth, all their achievements and the positive impact they make to our Club. We are immensely proud of the 9 employees who have completed an apprenticeship with us since 2022 as well as the 11 employees currently completing an apprenticeship across Greenkeeping, IT and the Kitchen. I spent 3 months at college learning Chef skills and then was given the opportunity to work at Wentworth for my work experience placement. I completed my first year, returned to college for 3 months and am now nearing the end of my 2nd year work experience at Wentworth. My experience at Wentworth has taught me many skills and I have had various roles throughout the kitchen, working with Chefs from all over the world.
