This week, we've been bringing new life to Camberley Town Centre with the installation of large-scale community artwork along Arnold Walk, Park Street, and Princess Way. Designed with Mural Artists, Imageskool, and local school students, ‘Surrey Heath Alive!’ captures the landmarks and wildlife that make this area unique. Pupils aged 11-14 explored the borough’s history and nature, turning their ideas into vibrant public art. Commissioned by Surrey Heath Borough Council and funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, this project will have a celebratory opening later this month. What a great way to showcase creativity, community, and place. Great project to be providing cost management services for Ulster University supporting its development of its Magee Campus
An exciting step forward on our #DeliveringForDerry journey as we welcome the consultant teams for our Shared Island construction project. Though the final build may look different, we're pleased to share this artist’s impression of what designs for the teaching and student services block could look like. A Shared Island Fund investment supported by Ulster University reserves, the building will provide additional lecture and seminar spaces, computer labs and other social areas. Exciting progress is being made at City Quays Gardens, with the project nearing completion! What was once a car park next to the historic Harbour Offices is now evolving into a vibrant 2-acre green space, central to Belfast Harbour's ambitious waterfront regeneration. This vibrant, sustainable public space is taking shape with lush greenery, flexible event lawns, 5G-enabled outdoor workspaces, and the striking illuminated ‘gateway nest.’ It’s all set to become a lively hub for relaxation, socialising, and community events—bringing people together to share meaningful experiences! It’s been an incredible journey to bring this vision to life, and we’ve been thrilled to collaborate with an amazing team on this transformative project. With AECOM serving as project manager, Gillespies has led the design team, responsible for masterplanning, landscape and public realm design, supported by a group of specialist expert designers. These include lighting designer StudioFractal and a range of Belfast-based consultancies, including RPS, Turley, Doran Companies, Consarc, WH Stephens and Semple & McKillop Consulting Engineers We can’t wait to see the community enjoy it for years to come! Stay tuned for the grand opening! Gillespies' Team: Jim Gibson, Warren Chapman, Jon Freeman CMLI and Katie Hammond. 🔗 Learn more about the project: https://lnkd.in/eM6sRgVz #Cityquaysgardens #Belfastharbour #Urbanregeneration #publicspace #Transformation #Belfast #Gillespies
