📊 We're busy evaluating our pilot of a dedicated holiday club for young people with SEND this summer. We're looking at all the data and feedback - but if the smiles from the final day of cycling 🚲around Birkenhead Park with Wheels For All and baking some celebration cakes is anything to go by, it was a big success! 🍰 Edsential Wirral Council Department for Education #HAF2024

It's important to remember that Disabled people still face huge inequalities in lots of aspects of their lives. Access to sport and physical activity remains one of the biggest hurdles that we need to overcome. Thank you ParalympicsGB for highlighting this important message. 👏

🚴♂️ What an amazing day at the final stage of the Men's Tour of Britain on Sunday! 🎉🚴♂️ We were thrilled to be part of the excitement and share our passion for inclusive cycling with so many people. It was also a huge highlight to meet the cycling legend himself, Mark Cavendish! Despite his busy schedule, he made time to stop by for a chat—what a moment to remember! 🙌 A huge congratulations also has to go out to Stevie Williams on a fantastic victory, setting a record as the first Welshman to win the tournament EVER, and the first British cyclist since 2016! 🏆👏 Thanks to everyone who came by and supported Wheels for All—it was wonderful connecting with you all 🌟 To read more about the day, click here: https://rpb.li/IPXcBd #WheelsForAll #Cycling #TourOfBritain #Inclusive #MarkCavendish #StevieWilliams #Congratulations

As the 2024 Paralympics draws to a close in Paris, Wheels for All would like to wish all of Team GB a huge CONGRATULATIONS on their spectacular performance over the past two weeks 🎉🚲 Its has been so inspiring to watch all of the athletes compete in this years Games and to bring home a whopping 124 medals (as of writing this post) – one of the most successful Games in ParalympicGB history and placing second in the overall medal table! 🥇🥈🥉 We’re sure you’ll agree it’s been an amazing summer of sport this year, and we’ve especially loved seeing cycling, in all its forms, being celebrated and our teams performing so well in the sport. Wheels for All remains dedicated to making accessible for all and who knows, we even have some future Olympians and Paralympians currently at our sessions! 👍 #WheelsForAll #Cycling #Paralympics #ParalympicsGB #Paris #Congratulations #Inclusion

It's been another amazing day for ParalympicsGB in Paris and the cycling team have got even more medals to add to the collection! 🥇🥈🥉 Dame Sarah Storey, friend of Wheels for All, extended her record by taking a historic 19th GOLD MEDAL in the women's C4-5 road race. If you watched it you'll know just how nail biting this was in the final 2km! 🌟 Similarly Sophie Unwin (with guide Jenny Holl) and Lora Fachie (with guide Corrine Hall) took Gold and Bronze respectively in the Women's road race B - a huge congratulations to the pairs! 🤩 We're also sending well wishes to Stephen Bate and his guide Chris Latham, who had to withdraw from the Mens B Road race earlier today due to ill health. This weekend sees the final two days of the 2024 Games so fingers crossed we can still pull a few more medals our way before the athletes make a triumphant return home!
