Are we getting carried away? Or killing the spark?
We’ve refined our process by learning from both mistakes.
At the start of a project, two design forces pull in opposite directions.
❤️ The heart wants freedom—emotive ideas and possibilities without limits.
🧠 The head wants control—to identify constraints and shape what’s achievable.
That tension is uncomfortable. And if it’s not managed, one will kill the other.
So instead of letting them clash, we've learned to give each its own space.
❤️ First, we define the emotional vision—what does success feel like?
🧠 Then, we refine the strategy—how do we make it real without losing impact?
This shapes every workshop we run. We start by opening up the conversation, letting ideas flow freely without judgment. When people feel safe to share, the best ideas surface. Then, we shift gears—grounding the vision in strategy. The energy changes, the room sharpens, and we focus on how to make it real.
Early in a project, this approach shapes the big idea. Later, it sharpens the details—the same process applies whether we’re designing a space or choosing a door handle.
When we get this right, everything aligns—vision, strategy, and delivery working together.
