Today is Bonfire Night in the UK. It is a unique celebration that today sees communities come together around a fire to enjoy a celebration ahead of the festive season. It's a cracking opportunity to enjoy a dram too. As whisky-makers, the cask is vital. What's less well-known is the importance of fire. At Invergordon, our cooperage char wooden casks. This layer acts as a filter and works to remove any harsh wood tannins and other unwanted compounds. #WhyteAndMackay

Doing things differently is a part of Fettercairn DNA, since 1824. As part of our celebrations to mark two centuries of innovation in our whisky making, we took the Garden of Scotland to the heart of Canada, with a garden party marking the 200th anniversary of this incredible spirit at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton #Fettercairn200 #WhyteAndMackay

Last month we hosted a special community event to mark the 200th anniversary of Fettercairn. The community in and around the distillery gathered to celebrate 200 years of innovation and the people who make Fettercairn whisky so special. A day of drinks and activities came to a close with the burying of a time capsule to be opened by future generations. Our cask partner Matugga Distillers added a secret recipe that won't be revealed until it's opened. Here's to Fettercairn, and here's to another 200 years of innovation. #WhyteAndMackay #Fettercairn200
