Drumroll please…🥁
Towards the end of 2023, we launched our first campaign to reach founders underrepresented in the #BCorp community. This campaign offered business leaders the chance to win free B Corp Certification and free B Leader consultancy to complete the B Impact Assessment.
And the winners are…
➡️ Winning free B Corp Certification and B Leader support, KUTEMWA SKIN. Founded by Besa Musama, Kutemwa Skin is made of botanical ingredients from Africa that have been passed down through generations to promote healthy, glowing skin.
The runners up winning free B Leader support are:
➡️ Chrissy's Kitchen Ltd , a conscious catering company based in London and founded by Chrissy Florman.
➡️ Bambonn, an online store offering hair products and accessories for coils, curls and waves, founded by Emily Pomroy-Smith.
➡️ Wild Clouds, providing clothing made with organic cotton and linen, founded by Franny Collingham.
➡️ BCohCo, a learning and development company specialising in diversity, inclusion, cohesion and equity (DICE), founded by Katie Donovan-Adekanmbi.
➡️ Tiwani Heritage, providing beautiful afro-textured recyclable and (coming soon!) plant-based biodegradable hair extensions, founded by Lola Cawood and Carol Lathbridge (Raising S/EIS)
➡️ Sweet Tee's Ltd, a wellness and beauty company, founded by Stephanie Baynes.
➡️ BetterShared, a leading platform to discover and shop contemporary art by emerging artists from Africa and the Diaspora, founded by Swakara Atwell-Bennett.
We’re excited to welcome these businesses — and the people behind them that are using business as a force for good — to the community. 🎉
A huge thank you to the B Leaders that have enabled this campaign to happen. With their support we’re hoping to welcome these businesses to the UK B Corp community this year! Alice Elliott, Jaimie Harris, Paul Coverdale, Alison Phillips, Sarah Holloway, Camilla Barnes, Andy Hawkins, Mehalah Beckett and Sophie Brooks.
