Celebrating 40 Years of Plumb Centre York! 🎈 The team marked the occasion with a day full of celebrations, led by team members past & present – including: ⭐ Original Branch Manager, Des Jenkinson (54 years service) ⭐ Alan Crampton, Branch manager at York & then Bradford (54 years service) ⭐ Richard Hilton (41 years service and counting) ⭐ Jim Crangle (36 years service) ⭐ Barry Hurst (34 years service) ⭐ Steve Pape, current Branch Manager We were also honoured to welcome the Lord Mayor of York, who took time to visit the branch and recognise the dedication and commitment of our team over the past four decades. The Lord Mayor also presented Richard Hilton with a hamper to celebrate his 41st work anniversary. The visit highlighted our ongoing impact on the local trade community and the strong relationships we’ve built over the years. 🧑🎓 Derby College Fair! 🧑🎓 This week, our Derby branch manager hosted a trade fair with 20 top industry suppliers! 🛠️💡 👷♂️ Students at Derby College got hands-on experience, learning about the latest in plumbing & heating and exploring exciting career opportunities. We like spotlighting the impact apprentices have on our business - like Liam Lister. Liam joined our Bradford branch as an apprentice Sales Advisor in 2023 and has already progressed to Branch Supervisor at Shipley, thanks to the skills and experience gained during his apprenticeship. Liam shared: "The programme helped me build product knowledge and develop as an all-rounder. No two days are the same, so you gain a wide range of experiences." His former manager, John Arundel, said: "Liam quickly became a parts expert, built strong customer relationships, and brought fresh ideas to the team. If there was another Liam available, I’d take him tomorrow!" We’re proud to support apprentices like Liam, helping them grow and shape the future of our industry.

A warm home for Winter, thanks to the team at our Luton Plumb Centre. ❄️ Lee Taverner, a former bricklayer, and his family had been facing freezing winters for three years after Lee had to stop working due to a rare condition, leaving them without a working boiler or radiators. As the winter chill set in, the call came to help install a new central heating system in Lee’s home. Scott Oliver and the team at Luton Plumb Centre didn’t hesitate to step up, ensuring everything was delivered and installed just in time to keep the family warm and comfortable throughout the cold season. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen – a real team effort that has brought warmth and relief to a family in need this winter! We’re proud to have already supported Band of Builders for our first project with them. Together, we’re making a difference when it matters most. 👏

We've recently wrapped up a golden ticket competition in partnership with Polypipe Building Products, giving entrants the chance to win a £3,000 holiday of their dreams. 🏖️ And the lucky winner is...
