About us
Women In Business Hull is a friendly networking group that has run for over 25 years. Our members are predominately business owners or decision makers within a business. Our ethos is we are all here to help each other with business advice, personal support, sharing contacts, expertise and our skill sets. We only charge a small membership fee so we can support the small businesses as well as the large. We are a not for profit organisation and all the committee volunteer, we like to support local charities and the community. We have monthly events that offer business training, personal development, professional advice, wellness and social fun events. WIB is a small personal networking group, it is not speed or sales driven; we prefer to do fun events together and the networking comes naturally along with friendship. WIB host a main event each year alternating between a charity luncheon (120 attendees) and the 'Women of Achievement Awards' (400 attendees) with applicants, members, guests, judges, sponsors, charity, compare and household name guest speaker. The WOAA is one of the most popular and well attended business events in the East Riding previously selling out in just 4 days. Our launch for the next WIB WOAA's is Thursday 7th April 2022 and the WIB WOA Awards will be Friday 11th November 2022 both held at the Mercure Hotel, we will release further details nearer the time and look forward to seeing you there!

What an amazing Women in Business Hull event today. Thank you so much to the wonderful Karen Locking for her insights into AI and marketing, the pros and the cons! So many takeaways including: 💫 AI is here and it's here to stay 💫 We mustn't be frightened of it 💫 No more staring at a blank page 💫 It is an incredibly powerful tool which can save us lots of time - but we mustn't lose our authentic voice 💫 It can lie, so check your facts 💫 Try it out - and have a bit of fun with it! It certainly sparked some great questions and discussions. Thank you everyone for coming along. Let us know what your key takeaway was!
