At Woodfines, we take cake VERY seriously! Yesterday, we hosted our first-ever 'Great Woodfines Bake Off', and it’s safe to say the competition was fierce! With entries across Bedford, Cambridge, and Milton Keynes and very willing judges facing the difficult task of selecting worthy winners, it was a truly tough day at the office for some! Thanks to the generosity of our staff, who brought in an array of sweet and savoury bakes, no one went home hungry! But, whilst we had plenty of fun, there was a meaningful purpose behind the day. In recognition of World Mental Health Day, we encouraged everyone to take a well-deserved break, enjoy some cake, and chat with colleagues. Plus, our Trainees meticulously organised the event to also highlight World Palliative Care Day on 12th October, raising funds for our charity of the year, Sue Ryder. A huge thank you to all our Trainees for their hard work in making the day such a success and to the judges for taking on their duties with such seriousness! Thanks to Phoebe Fortune for providing a summary of the day, including details of the worthy winners which are revealed here: https://lnkd.in/4G0r4+ Sadly the cake is all gone now, but if you would like to donate, you can do so below… https://lnkd.in/e6hRSQwJ
