Is sending job coaches into psychiatric wards really the answer? I know this new government is all about change but are we digging just a bit too deep with some of these proposals ? Hear me out The UK governments recent proposal to place job coaches in psychiatric wards to SAVE on disability benefits and HELP patients back to work is raising eyebrows & for good reason 🧐 Here are some key points worth considering 👉 Psychiatric wards are for complex care, not job readiness 👉 Many patients already have careers, they just need time, treatment, and support from medical professionals, not career advisors 👉 The idea that a job coach can snap someone out of a psychotic episode or deep mental distress is not only unrealistic , it’s quite dismissive of the real challenges that are being faced 👉 Imagine being in the middle of a psychotic episode and someone coming in to talk about your “career pathway” Like fook off 😵💫 It’s dismissive of the reality these patients face 😅 I mean I’m laughing because it’s just ridiculous thinking 👉 Investing in mental health infrastructure and providing adequate treatment should come before any focus on employment, surely looking after yourself and being well comes first 🤷♀️ 👉 Long term solutions should focus on creating sustainable jobs and programmes that help people back into work after they’ve fully recovered NOT while they’re still in the midst of treatment I know this will be a topic that is up for debate 🍿 👀 So I’m here for the comments But surely instead of trying to quick fix crisis maybe we should be putting that time effort and money more into the preventative 🤷♀️ I mean who even comes up with these proposals Get me in on your discussions UK government I can point out the obvious rather well #justsaying 🤷♀️ What’s your thoughts on this thought provoking Friday Do you think this approach is a short-sighted “quick fix”? AND What’s your thoughts on what the government should be prioritising when it comes to mental health and work? #wellbeing #mentalhealth #workplacewellbeing #linkedin #quickfixesdontwork

Very very sad news 😔 I saw this being reported around 11pm Wednesday night and I just could not sleep properly after A young life that faced many challenges with their physical and mental health A young life taken far too soon🥹 Fame is not what it is cracked up to be You couldn’t pay me to be celebrity famous The pressures that come with it , the loneliness, the judging and the toxicity The impact on your Mental Health must be off the scale 😔 We all have experiences in life but majority of us can experience them in private Unfortunately when you are in the public eye, nothing is really private I’m not here to defend anybody I know that this young man was facing his own challenges at the moment that was being played about in the media I can also imagine how much the online abuse would have taken a toll I don’t know him personally to know the facts and we all have to take accountability for our actions I get that But what I will say is You don’t know know what goes on behind closed doors AND you don’t know what what somebody is really going through Sometimes the signs are obvious Sometimes they are NOT Unfortunately it would seem that Liam was behaving in a way that should of rang alarm bells He has openly admitted to struggling with his mental health for many years So this news is extremely upsetting We don’t know the facts behind his death but it does highlight the need for more conversations , awareness and more support Liam has now passed But there will be many that will need support at this time Family, friends , Fans It’s an ongoing battle for those too 😔 Losing somebody is never easy but losing somebody in tragic circumstances is Heartbreaking 💔 Be kind people .. it costs nothing RIP .. Liam Payne 31 .. far too soon 😔

No Mental Health Plan During COVID 😳 Are We Surprised? Professor Sir Chris Whitty just confirmed what many of us feared UK government had ZERO plans for mental health during the pandemic NO STRATEGY in place to handle the surge in mental health struggles that followed BIG FAT ZERO And the Result? Pretty Predictable 👇 📈 Mental health issues shot up by 40% globally 📈 Young people especially, suffered with a spike in eating disorders and mental health crises 📈 Services are still drowning in demand with NO signs of catching up Years later, we’re still feeling the effects of this lack of preparation NO plan = BIG consequences Today Talk about it Tuesday is talking all things pandemic and I want to hear from you Because this one grinds my gears on a whole another level How did we get away with not planning for something so predictable? We knew lockdowns, isolation, and fear would take a toll on mental health YET there was no blueprint to tackle it Years later, we’re still dealing with the fallout This can’t happen again. What do you think 🤔 Could this have been avoided? What should have been done differently? Drop your thoughts below because I am sure many of you have an opinion 🍿 👀 #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #pandemicresponse #leadership #linkedin

Who you surround yourself with is the key to your success Especially on LinkedIn A crucial lesson I've learned is that success isn’t just about the content you share it's about the people you connect with AND Surrounding yourself with positive, supportive individuals can and will make all the difference I mean I met my LinkedIn bestie on here Beckie Jones 🫶 Here’s how focusing on the right connections has transformed my LinkedIn experience 👇 📌 Quality Over Quantity 👏🏼 I prioritise meaningful connections with people who uplift and support AND If a connection doesn’t align with my values or intentions, I reconsider its place in my network 📌 Positive Influence Engaging with those who share my vision and contribute positively helps me stay motivated and focused AND It’s not just about the networking , it’s about creating a circle that enhances your growth 👏🏼 📌 BE OPEN to meeting new people I like to always meet NEW people they come along with new perspectives and new experiences If I know everybody in a room .. then it is time to shift rooms Connections are powerful so continuously making new ones means you expose yourself to many opportunities 👏🏼 📌 Protecting Your Space I am fiercely protective of my space AND Sometimes, negativity can come from unexpected places, even family Not everyone has the best intentions I’ve learned to distance myself from those who don’t have my best interests at heart Be it personally or professionally 🤷♀️ The power of good connections cannot be underestimated They fuel your growth and help you thrive in ways you never realised possible So question for you all How are you ensuring that your connections are enriching rather than diminishing? 🤔 #linkedin #positiveconnections #networking #business #personaldevelopment 😮💨 Pic credit to the one and only Wendy Gannon 📸 👏🏼👏🏼
