Working Wardrobe has been asked to provide suitable clothing for people going into care and support roles. This means comfortable, practical but work appropriate clothing. So, this #recycleweek, I am looking for companies who can help and run a clothing drive at your workplace. Many of the people with which we work are facing clothing poverty and being able to afford even basic clothing is an issue. Please contact rachel@workingwardrobe.org so that your top quality but no longer needed shoes and clothing can help someone into work. #moxiefoundation #moxiepeople #recruitmentwithpurpose #recycleweek #toomanyhashtags

Happy Recycle Week!! Working Wardrobe relies on clothing donations to help people into employment, but we also recycle any materials we are unable to utilise. We have donated to projects across Monmouthshire, Cardiff, Newport and Carmarthenshire in 2024 as well as providing pre-loved clothing to those accessing work via our partners and are struggling with clothing poverty. #recycleweek #reutilise #recruitmentwithpurpose #reallygoodideas

They say it takes a village to raise a child and that is how we feel about the backing we have had for Working Wardrobe. We could not do it without the contributions we have received from our Working Partners and our network of volunteers. And none of this would be possible without the amazing people at Inter Haul & Inter-haul Pallet Services Ltd with their unwavering support. We genuinely couldn’t do it without these lovely humans. They are truly the backbone of the Working Wardrobe success story. Mark Waite Jodie Archer

Zoe Groves, Trish D'Souza and I were delighted to take part in a #CommunityEngagement event on Thursday afternoon. Held in South Loudoun Place, Butetown, Cardiff and organised by Ethnic Minorities and Youth Support Team - EYST Wales with the help of lots of welcoming and helpful volunteers including Dorrett Evans, it very much encouraged and enabled great discussions concerning : 🗣 volunteering, networking, empowerment, employment opportunities and career development with attendees and stand holders including those from Working Wales, Careers Wales, Cyngor y Gweithlu Addysg | Education Workforce Council, HM Prison and Probation Service, Cwmpas (great to see you again Casey Edwards and to meet some of your team) and Llais Cymru. 🗣 initiatives such as Cardiff Council's Into Work Advice Service and Maximus which support people back into employment both of which are very much aligned with #GrowingAmbitions (a Blake Morgan LLP initiative) and our partnership with Working Wardrobe. 🗣 wider matters of importance that affect the community such as personal safety, drugs, crime and mental health with Cruse Bereavement Support and PCSOs representing the Neighbourhood Policing Team, South Wales Police. Thank you for inviting us to attend Fateha Ahmed - wishing you equally successful EYST events in Swansea and Wrexham over the coming weeks. We look forward to continuing to working together in the community.

What an AMAZING end to our Get Into Construction course in Cardiff! 🤩 14 young people completed our week-long training course, successfully passed their CSCS tests along with Working at Heights & Asbestos Awareness quals. For many this will have been the first qualification they have ever achieved or first test they have passed, the impact on their confidence has been huge! 🙌 I want to say a huge thank you to Arc Training Stephen Davies MIIRSM Chris Hassan the training & support you offer is fantastic, the young people couldn't have sung your praises enough - thank you! We invited 6 amazing employers to attend a Get Hired event. Thank you to SACYR, Blue Water Recruitment Limited, Sphere Solutions Ltd, DENVALCO LIMITED, WysePower & Pritchard's for all giving up your time to discuss the opportunities you have on offer with our young people. Our Prince's Trust Cardiff Centre was buzzing today! A big thanks to Working Wardrobe for gifting everyone with steel toe cap boots so they are equipped to step straight into a job in construction! And last but not least a huge thanks to Principality Building Society for funding this programme! Without this funding these kind of programmes & impact wouldn't be possible! We are really excited for the many job opportunities that will have been gained from today, we know the young people have bright futures ahead of them! 👷♀️ 🌟 👷♂️ Hannah Jenkins Anna Davies James Harper Nathan Sage Robyn Marshall Tony Crook Harry Paterson Jemma Morris Rhian Mathias Laura Campbell-Kent Rachel Rodrigues
