Last night, we had a delightful dinner surrounded by friends and colleagues, which embodies the core of the Livery. Fellowship, Benevolence, and Education are central to our purpose. We also strive to support and honour excellence within the armed forces. Last night, we were proud to present the Soldier of the Year, Silver Medal to Staff Sergeant Stephen Bailey of the 710 Operational Hygiene Squadron from the Royal Logistics Corps. The 710 RLC plays a crucial role in times of conflict, ensuring that troops remain clean and field hospitals can operate smoothly. Pictured below is Deputy Master Simon Fordham reading the Citation and presenting SSgt Bailey with his medal. Congratulations Staff, very well deserved! #livery #cityoflondon #RLC #Armedforces #londonliverycompany #fellowship #glaziershall

About us
Discovering the Launderers: A Modern Livery Company with a Rich Tradition. As a Livery Company in the City of London, we follow in the footsteps of the great guilds that have been the backbone of trade in the city for centuries. Our active participation in civic life within the City of London is a testament to our commitment to the community. At our core, we are a fellowship that brings together different professional disciplines and interests, primarily, but not limited to the laundry and textile industry. Our members prioritise philanthropy, with our Benevolent Trust serving as a vital source of charitable funds for the Company. We aim to focus our giving on where it is needed most, supporting local charities and industry colleagues who may require our help. As a progressive and forward-thinking group, we promote industry knowledge, generate debate, and encourage innovation within and beyond the laundry industry. We reflect the industry objectively and positively, with a diverse, inclusive approach. We host events throughout the year, bringing our members together both in and outside of London, including our Annual Service and Installation Ceremony and our beloved Carol Service held at Southwark Cathedral. Our black-tie banquets take place in our hall, located at the end of London Bridge, as well as at other prestigious Livery Halls. Launderers and their friends come together to enjoy good fellowship, demonstrate their benevolence, honour the military services through our link to the Royal Logistics Corp, and, of course, serve the City civic. Fantastic start to your Livery Year, Master.
The Livery season has finally begun and I have just spent three very enjoyable days in the City of London - exercising my right to herd sheep over Southwark Bridge on Sunday, attending the Election of the Lord Mayor at Guidhall with an excellent lunch afterwards at Tallow Chandler’s Hall accompanied by my Steward Colin Hill and Past Master Ken Cupitt on Monday and attending newly-elected Sheriff David Chalk’s very first drinks reception at the Old Bailey before having lunch with the judges and sitting in on an attempted murder trial in the afternoon yesterday.

Just look at this from our hall. Congratulations to all involved!
We have always been proud to be based in Glaziers Hall and as of today we are even prouder. There is a wonderful new stained glass installation in the foyer, created by fellow Glazier Martin Donlin , and capturing the history and vitality of the three Liveries that call the Hall their home - The Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass , Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers and The Worshipful Company of Launderers . The first photos show its installation on Thursday, with Martin Donlin and David Whyman, who had restored the panel with our motto, and with Upper Warden john Reyntiens, who was passing through and got into the spirit of things. Then you can see the finished work, which adds so much personality and colour to the Hall. Congratulations Martin and all involved!

Anton Brennan also won the Scratch Challenge Trophy. Trophies were presented by Charlie Betteridge, Master of theWorshipful Company of Launderers. The Club would like to thank: Christeyns, LINEN CONNECT LIMITED and Lynx Dry Cleaning Supplies / Alex Reid for their kind and generous support of the day by sponsoring the prizes and providing complimentary golf balls. On Monday, July 1st, we held our Installation Ceremony at Glaziers Hall in the Court Room, with family and friends present. Following a highly successful year, Simon Fordham, as is tradition, conferred the title and badge of Master to Charlie Betteridge, who has been elected as the new Master of The Worshipful Company of Launderers. Master Charlie is supported in his role by now, Deputy Master Simon Fordham, Senior Warden, Andrew Doyle and Renter Warden, Graham Oakley. We also celebrated, the Elevation of Alistair MacKinder to Court Assistant and his son, William Mackinder who became literally our youngest Liveryman, who just happened to be celebrating his 19th birthday too. Congratulations to all! #livery #cityoflondonliverycompany #charity #traditions #liverycompany

Both are pictured here with Master and Deputy Master, Sarah Lancaster. It was certainly a busy court as we also elevated to Court Assistant, Dr. Vikas Shah MBE DL (not pictured) and Minnie Arslan to the position of Static Court Assistant.
