WT Nottingham’s Jack McLoughlin MRICS and Lydia Eneh are providing Employer’s Agent services on this exciting project. The project is moving at a pace since the team attended the ground-breaking ceremony in the spring. It isn’t long since the first spade was placed in the ground and now the first floor steelwork is being installed. The Sherwin Road project in Nottingham consists of the construction of 34 affordable homes, one and two bed apartments for Jigsaw Homes Group Ltd with Contractor, GEDA Construction and Clerk of Works and Principal Designer, Summers-Inman. WT Cambridge are proud to share that the heat pump-chiller installation in The Movement Surgery Hub at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been selected as the winning submission in the "Lighthouse Heat Pump Category" of this year's European Heat Pump Association Forum Awards 2024 competition. The project is noteworthy for its novel use of DC power systems and distributed computer architecture that manages various interplays between heating, cooling utilising solar power. WT’s Jack Malkin provided Project Management services for this project as part of his client-side secondment with the Trust. Working alongside the contractor and designer team from Arriba Technologies has been a pleasure and WT looks forward to further collaborative opportunities in the future. WT is exceptionally proud to announce the latest accolades bestowed upon this innovative scheme for which WT Birmingham’s Fay Y., Andrew Johnson and Tim Brian provided Project Management and Principal Designer services.   ASI (Newark) has recently been awarded the following:   ◾Commercial Development of the Year awarded by the East Midlands Business Link – The Brick awards 2024.   ◾Construction Project of the Year awarded at the East Midlands Property Dinner 2024.   ◾Project of the Year awarded at the Constructing Excellence Midlands Awards 2024.   Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this multi-award-winning site. WT are pleased to share that Director, Kirby Ellis has been appointed as Principal Designer CDM and Client CDM Assist on an exciting redevelopment of Moor Grange, a historically significant building. Working alongside Developers, Pickard Properties and Contractor, C&AJ Marshall Builders Ltd, Moor Grange will be carefully converted into eight self-contained apartments. Located in the heart of the Far Headingley Conservation Area the team is committed to delivering a project that not only creates beautiful, modern apartments but preserves the historic features of this iconic building that is a key to the heritage of the area. Moor Grange is a Victorian villa dating back to the 19th Century. It has been home to a number of prominent figures over the years, notably Professor Arthur Mayo-Robson the former Professor of Surgery at the Yorkshire College, which later became University of Leeds. The surrounding area of Spinning Acres has recently undergone regeneration, creating a community and home that people can be proud of. The Moor Grange scheme will further add to the area, allowing the site to reclaim its place as part of this thriving neighbourhood. The project team tasked with sensitively modernising this important piece of Leeds’ heritage are Architect, HALLIDAY CLARK ARCHITECTS, Structural Engineers, CODA STRUCTURES LIMITED, M&E Consultant, Power Group Services Ltd, and Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultants, Fox Lloyd Jones. WT are delighted to welcome Kirby Ellis, Director, Head of Corporate Health & Safety. Kirby will also be leading the CDM Principal Designer team covering our WT offices in the North of England and the Midlands. “For those who haven't met me yet, I'm a gruff Northerner who has been treading the Health and Safety trail for thirty years and counting. Initially learning how to ruin tea as an office junior for Tweeds (ask David Clayton), my career has spanned several large and small practices, including my own, undertaking typically Health & Safety services with a light smattering of quantity surveying, building surveying, employer’s agent, project management. Despite a vehement Health and Safety streak in my professional life my number one favourite pastime is throwing myself down a mountain bike trail on the weekends.
