This week we sat down with one of our Estate Managers, Rodolfo Pettinato, to hear his career story and how it has developed here at Xenia Estates! Rodolfo’s move from Senior Property Manager at Xenia Lettings to Estate Manager at Xenia Estates was more than a title change, it was a journey of growth and determination. For 14 months, he managed 450+ units, handling tenant concerns, maintenance, and logistics. This experience sharpened his problem-solving, customer service, and property management skills. Driven by a passion for broader impact, Rodolfo embraced estate management to directly influence daily operations and long-term sustainability of an entire estate. The Challenge of Change Shifting from Senior Property Manager to Estate Manager was a significant step, It required stepping out of a well-established role, adapting to a different department, and proving his ability to oversee not just individual units but an entire estate’s infrastructure. The transition posed challenges, new workflows, stakeholder expectations, and ensuring smooth operations. Estate management demanded deeper expertise in building operations, compliance, and asset sustainability. Rodolfo’s background as a chartered surveyor equipped him with the technical skills to navigate this shift. He proved his ability to oversee large-scale operations while maintaining the high standards that defined his work in lettings, demonstrating adaptability and a clear vision for estate management. A Positive Outcome Now, as Estate Manager, Rodolfo is eager to apply his expertise to ensure smooth estate operations, timely issue resolution, and an improved living experience for all residents. The journey wasn’t easy, but with hard work, perseverance, and a relentless drive for excellence, Rodolfo proved that change, though challenging, often leads to new opportunities for growth and success. His story aids as an encouragement—showing that with determination, adaptability, and a passion for improvement, career progression is always within reach.

As we mark National Apprenticeship Week, we want to take a moment to recognise a very important team member. Kirsty Johnston joined Xenia as a Marketing apprentice late last year and has managed to get stuck in with all things digital, collaborating with different departments and increasing our reach on socials. Not to mention, she is also fantastic at baking! 🍪 Please find a little statement from Kirsty below: "Since starting here at Xenia a few months ago, I have been made to feel really welcome and been embraced within the marketing department and the wider team at Head Office. Having started my apprenticeship in multi-channel marketing after completing my communication design degree, I have been able to continue developing my graphic design skill set within a professional environment and apply my continuous learning to a workplace environment. Having moved down from Scotland not long before I started, everybody here has helped me to adjust to my new surroundings and made every day feel like a new, exciting experience. I’m looking forward to learning more about the industry and how I can fit into it as a creative." We recognise the importance of getting young professionals into the workplace and look to offer further apprenticeship opportunities in the future!
