What is Reinforcement Learning (RL)? 🤔 Before diving into RL, let's clarify some key terminologies: -Agent: The entity or system that takes actions in an environment. -Environment: The external system or surroundings with which the agent interacts. -State: A specific situation or configuration the environment can be in at a given time. -Action: The decision or move that the agent makes at a particular state. -Reward: Numerical feedback received by the agent after taking an action in a given state. -Policy: The strategy or mapping from states to actions that the agent follows. -Value Function: An estimate of the expected cumulative future rewards for being in a certain state or taking a certain action. Reinforcement Learning involves an agent learning to make decisions by interacting with an environment, receiving feedback in the form of rewards, and optimizing its policy over time to maximize cumulative returns. In this video, the AI was trained using Deep Reinforcement Learning, a method of Machine Learning which involves rewarding the agent for correct actions and punishing it for incorrect ones. The actions of the AI, named Albert, are controlled by a Neural Network that's updated after each attempt to optimize for more rewards and fewer punishments over time. Here are eight key algorithms you should be familiar with: 1. Round Robin Assigns a request to the first server, then moves sequentially through the list. Once it reaches the last server, it starts again at the first. 2. Least Connections Directs incoming requests to the server with the lowest number of active connections, balancing the load more evenly. 3. Weighted Round Robin Assigns different weights to servers based on their capacities, distributing requests proportionally to these weights. 4. Weighted Least Connections Combines the Least Connections and Weighted Round Robin algorithms, directing requests to the server with the lowest ratio of active connections to assigned weight. 5. IP Hash Determines the server for a request based on the source and/or destination IP address, maintaining session persistence and ensuring consistent user experience. 6. Least Response Time Directs requests to the server with the lowest response time and the fewest active connections, enhancing efficiency. 7. Random Distributes requests to a randomly selected server from the pool, ensuring a simple but effective load distribution. 8. Least Bandwidth Directs requests to the server currently utilizing the least amount of bandwidth, preventing any single server from being overwhelmed by network traffic.
